The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The layout offers a unique links experience that all skill levels can enjoy, especially since it features four different sets of tees.

Beautiful course. Two basic comments- we played the links course in entering the subdivision. There were no signs guiding us to this course.

Second, in three or four locations there were no signs directing you to the next hole.

I'm a member at Sandestin and play all of the courses regularly.

Links is currently in excellent shape.

The fairways are lush with great lies.

The greens are firm, fast and true.

Some (not all) of the tees need a bit of attention. Some of them are a bit beat up.

Best value for the money on Sandestin.

Great Course, Slow Play

I’ll preface by saying the starter did let our twosome go off about 45 minutes early, so that was greatly appreciated. We flew through the first 7 holes but then hit a train of groups and ended up waiting on every shot after. This likely isn’t the courses fault due to the amount of beginner golfers who play these courses while on vacation. It might help to have a marshall out on course trying to speed up play but that’s the only real fix I can see.

The course itself is beautiful. It’s very narrow with a ton of water, so bring some extra balls with you. Fairly short course and a lot of holes where you’re forced to leave the driver in the bag and lay up short of trouble. Would definitely play again!

Loved playing with water views

Fist time playing and loved the course. Didn’t use the range but putting was convenient prior to our round. Unfortunately was disappointing there wasn’t a club house available after our round. Also, I can’t carry my clubs so was hard getting my clubs to cart. The bag person told us carts weren’t allowed in parking lot and then left. The person in the pro shop AND the starter were so friendly and helpful. They made up for missing bag person.

I would play again.

Beautiful views, not much of a range though.

I loved almost everything about this course. The layout was challenging and narrow from tee to green. They had aerated and sanded the greens three weeks prior, so I can’t speak to how they normally run. But we were surprised to find that they were faster than expected, and rolled very true. There are views of the ocean on several holes, which was a first for us.
