About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Needs some tweeks
I have played the Raven course about a dozen times and keep running into the same issue. Please please please take some of our money we spend on green fees and hire a Ranger. When you have four groups on the same Teebox and six groups on the same hole you have a problem. I quit today with five holes left to play because I got tired of standing on the Tee for 30 minutes waiting. Stop hoarding the green free money. Nobody really cares that you used to host a Korn ferry event. Hire a Ranger to speed up play. Love the golf course layout and is usually in decent condition. But dang the pace of play is pathetic

Back nine very difficult
Holes all beautiful with lots of water but fair landing areas
No real bar or dinning area - couple seats outside and one walk up window to order limited drinks and menu
Restrooms were closed wham we finished at 4:40
Greens hard to read but fair

Need to train the lady starter for customer service
The lady starter at Raven needs to be train for a better customer service. I seen a group of 4 somes/golfer went at the tee box, and I did not see anyone else went for 20 minutes. I asked the lady starter if I could go a little early since it's open and she won't let anyone else go. I watched for another 20 minutes and the tee box was still open. Other golf courses in the area let you tee off early if it's open. But not in Raven, poor customer service. This is not the first time that I observed this lady starter, she does this every time I played this golf course.

Good golf experience; pity about the poor welcome
The course was in good condition with firm and fast greens although the eighteenth was out of play. Layout does not offer any serious challenges or need for decision making but overall a good golfing experience.
Down side was the absence of a welcoming greeting in the pro shop. No welcome or guidance on what was around or even how to get to the first tee. There was no space available on the practice area with only 10 bays available so not able to get a warm up before the round.

Pace was great. Finished under 4 hours. Fairways and greens were in great shape.
Personnel was very friendly, from the time we paid until our clubs were cleaned.

Raven Course
Nice layout challenging. Course was dry but they would not allow carts on course. Very slow play as you had to park and guess where to go then walk a hundred yards over and a hundred yards back to cart. They should allow carts the 90 degree rule not the golfer on foot. Poor managing of conditions

Great Course, Friendly Staff
We played this course and it was in very good condition. It started raining during our round and we were able to get a 9 hole rain check. The staff was very friendly and professional. I am very interested in playing this course again.

Must play golf destination
This course is everything you could hope for in a Florida PGA quality course. I try to play every year we are in the state.
