About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Was happy to go back
Love this course. Hadn’t been in 3 years as we are from Canada. But when I played it yesterday, still totally enjoyed it. Glad I’m going back tomorrow. Too bad it is so expensive, if not we would be there a lot more often when we are in Sandestin .

Back Home to golf
Came back after 10yrs. Course was in great shape pace of play less than 4hrs. Greens running 10-11 smooth. Fairways even and in good shape.

Great Layout
The course has a great layout and is a goof challenge. Staff is friendly and very helpful. There is no restaurant and the turn eatery was closed by 1pm even thought we were told all about it before we went off. Pace of play was ridiculously slow and there was no martial on the course to help out. Bring your "A" game and patience.

Great Course
Raven is a really good course. It's challenging but not overpowering. The views are great. If you are nervous about water, you might not like it. The water is challenging but not unfair. It's a really fun four hours.

My favorite of the 3
As a local I have waxed poetic about the Golf Courses of Sandestin. While I belong to Sandestin and play them all regularly, Raven is by far the best to play. Beautiful greens, challenging fairways and well cared for tee boxes, if you are visiting the area you must play Raven. Top notch course that blends fun with a challenging layout

Sandestin - Raven
Love the course but I have some recommendations.
1. Really need some drinking water on the course. There's one water fountain but in the Florida heat/humidity that's not nearly enough (and DON'T blame COVID!).
2. The course really should have been closed. It had rained heavily earlier and it was very soggy and muddy. I know they're trying to make money but even with cart path only rules today the course was getting torn up.
3. Need to refurbish the bunkers with more sand. There is also some grass growing in some of the bunkers.
