Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club
About
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

Almost a Diamond in the Rough
Diamond Hill is making a comeback under its new ownership that has made a serious commitment to improving and upgrading the course. Green are in good condition, fairways and rough management definitely coming along. This is a wide open course, great to practice your skills. Very friendly staff. Driving range good; putting green small. Great place to practice your game; but not ready to be called a TPC course just yet.
An oldie but goodie!!!!!!!!!
The two of us had not played here in 30 and 40 years. The course has new ownership and it shows. This was a pleasant surprise and we will surely return.
New Management doing great job
Head and shoulders above the last time I played the course (about 6 months ago). Within a few months this course will have a 5 rating. Challenging and fun. Management obviously working hard to upgrade the course to excellence.
Nice outing, Big improvement
Had not played the course in quite a while but was very pleased with the condition of the course. Worlds of difference from the last time I played. I heard that it had new ownership and the changes were obvious. Course is being worked on and improved. Fairways were in good shape. Tee it forward, course plays long enough.
Fun Course
Conditions a little rough but it was a fun course to play. Pace was very slow as they allowed a group of 5 in front of us.
Looking good
The course is in much better shape then in the past. However the gnats are bad out there. I would definitely play again but maybe use a bug repellent.
180 degree turn around for the goods
I had a great time will the course of the staff is great the layout of the course was great and I will play it again and I will invite all my friend to play Diamond Hill.
On the Comeback!!!!!
Course has been sold and they are spending a little $ on it and you can definitely tell. Haven't played here in about 3 years becase of conditions. The layout is good and I will be giving this course my business again. They are on the right track.
Good greens
Greens were soft and had the right speed the course has come a long way
A Golf Course on the Rise
I live nearby this course but had not heard anything good about it until it became available on golf now. I had not seen the previous condition but if what I saw is any indication this course is on its way to becoming one of my favorites in the area. The 5th hole has a bench under some trees which is unusual. I've never seen a bench on a Florida golf course. The hole itself is an interesting par 3 as you hit from an elevated green over water. The 15th is also pretty cool, 3 elevated tee boxes in different areas, also hitting over water. It was my favorite hole. It's obvious they are making improvements and still have a way to go but this could definitely become an above average course in the area. They are working to improve the greens and some landscaping improvements are definitely in order, but I liked this course and will definitely be playing here soon. If you live in the Brandon, Valrico, Riverview area, you should give it a shot.
Major improvements
This course is fun to play. It has a great layout with natural rolling terrain and well established trees strategically placed to make you think. Far more interesting than many courses in the area. I played less than a year ago and the course has improved dramatically. They are thinning out the course a bit and widening the fairways. The staff is very friendly and seem highly motivated, which is refreshing. This course is still in need of some work to unlock its full potential but still very playable! I'll be playing here a lot more often.
Getting Better
I have not played Diamond Hill in almost a year. The course is in a lot better shape than I can remember. The greens are faster and they are cleaning up the course.
Nice layout
Had a nice layout. Good drives can get you in good scoring positions. Staff very friendly, other golfers very friendly. Once greens are in better condition, can be a great course. Will definetly be back.
Above Average Improvements New Owners
We had not played here for several years due to the course being run down, heard there were new owners, the course is in remarkable condition in a short period of time. If you have not been in the past year you should go back.
good course, but slow greens
Paired up by choice, nice course and fun time. The greens are a bit slow, but the improvements to the fairways is noticeable since I played here last month. Trees have been trimmed and vastly improved. There were 2 greens that I remember had small bare spots on them, but they are being fixed I am told. The new owners are reviving a good course. Giv'em a go!!
The course is a work in progress
Most greens were in very good shape the fairways had some rough spot but very playable. Roughs were rough in some spots. The staff and grounds crews are working hard to get the course back in shape the work on the course is noticeable. I was informed it is under new ownership which always takes a little time to get back in shape . I will play here again I enjoyed the layout and the staff was friendly.
Diamond Hill Rejuvenated!
What a difference a couple of years and new management have made for this course! I hadn't played Diamond Hill in a few years, in part because of the poor course conditions, but I have now played it four times in the past month. Greens are in excellent shape and the fairway grass is significantly improved over years past. Still some matted areas, especially around the trees, but overall the fairways and approach areas around the greens are in very good condition. Staff was very friendly. Price was very reasonable for the tee times that were available.
Diamond hills
They are working hard on this course and it's getting better
Good greens
Well kept
Played there 2 months ago and I see a vast improvement
I will go back soon
Not a bad course
The course wasn't that bad. It was very packed we started late of the tee box due to the backup. The price I paid I feel wasn't worth it but I would play again if I could find a decent Hot deal... but normal price I wouldn't. I didn't find the course very difficult but maybe it was just because I shot a very good round.
Making a Come Back
The new owners are really trying to turn this course around. In the past few months I've noticed a huge improvement in the greens and fairways. You need to realize how bad of shape this place was before the new ownership. The layout is a lot of fun, elevation changes, water carry, generous fairways. I recommend people give it another try. At the rate they are going this course will be awesome by fall. My only complaint on my last round was the rough (some areas are just too high for a muni golf course).
