Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club in Dover, Florida stretches over rolling hills where there is no shortage of water. Dry greens are never a concern as water hazards come into play frequently throughout the golf course. The greens vary in speed from medium to fast and the fairways are lined with towering trees. In addition to the water, there are also numerous bunkers that are strategically placed throughout. The golf course has some challenging par 3s, especially if it is a windy day. With several holes playing over water and a few houses close to the golf course, well placed tee shots are essential to scoring well at Diamond Hill.

Do NOT play here!!!!!!!!
Despite bad reviews about this course we decided to try it. We played a few times and besides the fact that the clubhouse looks like it had never been vacuumed/cleaned or people hitting into us we brought my father and my brother in law to play. My father commented on how poorly the course was maintained especially for having such a nice layout. However when we went with my brother in law we got rained out on hole #11. After getting SOAKED on our way back the the clubhouse, my husband went in to ask for a rain check for the 9 holes we did not get to play. The man working was very rude saying that they did not give rain checks because we played twilight. My husband calmly corrected him and told him we teed off at 12:30 and paid full price and wanted a 9 hole rain check. At this point the man working started yelling and swearing at my husband telling him that he was a veteran and we needed to show some respect and then proceeded to FORCEFULLY GRAB MY HUSBANDS ARM demanding that we leave before he called the cops!!!! We both come from families of veterans and his attitude was completely uncalled for!! We will never be back unless this course is under new management.
Typical Florida style tree lined course.
From what I remember, course was rough around edges but for price was great to play. Fun track. Some unique holes. Greens weren't fast. Sparsely carpeted fairways & rough roughs. Carts had windshields & raincover in back for bags we need it for the rain that day. Will eventually play again.
Unique lay out but rough around the edges
From what I remember, this course required attention. Greens were slow to medium paced & bumpy. Roughs were high enough to make it difficult to find balls (slowing down pace). Fairways were not carpeted. Grass sparse on tee boxes. Still had a good time because of the comrades I golfed with that day. Worth a try because of the lay out.
