About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Aguila views
Really solid course. Good variety of holes. Terrific condition. Sand traps could be a little more consistent. Great views on every hole Fun to play

Really well taken care of Muni. Great place to walk a Par 3 course as a warm up and then do a round of 18 overlooking the beautiful south Mountain.

Slow play, as usual
A ranger with a handgun/baseball bat/ whip is needed on most golf courses. Aguila does not have rangers to move the elderly and walkers along.

Excellent Course
Layout and condition of this course are both excellent, especially for a muni. Course was very crowded, but our 4some played in 4:15 not too bad considering. Good mix of shorter par 4s and 3 or 4 that measure 440+. Definitely a course worth playing.

Lovely desert course
Day was cool. Hospitality was thankfully not. Paired with a lovely and helpful couple. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. It’s a 4* minute drive for us but worth the trip. Will be back if we can get a t-time…which is a major difficulty this year!

Nice course. My wife and I played and were paired with a third person who was very nice. He walked the front nine while we rode
Play slowed down and there was some waits.Popular course but we didn’t finish probably because of its popularity
No complaints as to condition
It was a hike from where we were staying and that would be reason I am not likely to return

A good course to play if you have 6 hours to spare
This course was very nicely maintained
Unfortunately it is extremely overbooked with most of the time spent waiting between holes
There were three to 4 player backs ups between holes and we did not finish our round by 4 holes

Great Phoenix Muni!!
Played front nine with twilight rate. The grass is beautiful, greens are the best I’ve played in Phoenix, and the weather was perfect! Grateful this course has a nine hole rate for those late afternoon times; sunset golf in the desert is awesome!!

Great Layout
Course was very enjoyable. Great layout and condition. Play was awfully slow though with no Marshalls ensuring faster play.

Very slow play....
The course needs a Marshall. The pace of play was very slow. On some tee boxes we had 2 to 3 groups waiting to tee off. Sorry this is not acceptable.
Overall the course is in good shape.
