About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Great Phoenix Muni!!
Played front nine with twilight rate. The grass is beautiful, greens are the best I’ve played in Phoenix, and the weather was perfect! Grateful this course has a nine hole rate for those late afternoon times; sunset golf in the desert is awesome!!
Great Layout
Course was very enjoyable. Great layout and condition. Play was awfully slow though with no Marshalls ensuring faster play.

Very slow play....
The course needs a Marshall. The pace of play was very slow. On some tee boxes we had 2 to 3 groups waiting to tee off. Sorry this is not acceptable.
Overall the course is in good shape.

Top shelf
This city knows how to run and take care of a golf course. Pace of play great, course conditions great; staff great. I have played 20 plus courses in the valley this winter and paid more than double what I did here and this track beats most of them. Have not played a city of Phoenix course yet that is not in top condition.

Recommend to play. Overall great condition, fairways are in good shape, greens are fast and smooth. Some tee boxes need TLC. Starter consolidated our twosome with another. Beautiful views. Was stuck behind a walking foursome that slowed things down a bit.

Excellent course. Forget the high-priced private courses in the Phoenix. This muni is a gem.

Great Condition, But Horribly Slow Play
We teed off at 2:24 pm hoping to play 15 -18 holes. After 3 holes we hit a a ridiculous backup with a 4-some, a 3-some, a 2-some and our 2-some on hole #4. From that point on it was a long wait on every shot. I thought things would improve on the back 9 when the 3-some quit after 9. Unfortunately the course allowed a 2-some to start on the back and the slow play forced us to quit after 12 holes. The course needs rangers and should prohibit walkers.

Best value for golf in the valley
I have been playing Aguila for 20 years and it’s one of my favourites. It’s in great shape as usual. The greens are fast and challenging. I have recommended this course to everyone I know. The staff are friendly and welcoming
