Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club

We had a great round at this course. Despite a frost delay which is beyond anyone’s control, it was a very decent experience. The course in great condition and it’s challenging due to many strategically placed bunkers. The pace of play is just about right. There is a ranger on the course who is super friendly. I lost my 6 iron at the practice range and it was returned to the club house a few days later. They called me and shipped it back to me quickly. Great customer service.

All in all, we really enjoyed the course and will definitely play again next time in Scottsdale.

Had a fantastic day playing Southern Dunes. Having spent the last 4 days playing all over the greater Phoenix area, this course was our favorite. Will be back as the course and over all experience was fantastic.

Plus handicap here who has played all over the globe. Go out if your way to play Southern Dunes. You won’t be disappointed. The course, staff and amenities were first class.

Great golf course, well kept, beautiful layout. Staff however lack any personality or consideration. Every single employee of this course that we encountered either said nothing to us, avoided eye contact, or was just plain rude and abrupt. So much do that by the end, as we left, the gent barked out to us “take your stuff from the cart”. Not so much as a thank you, we hope you enjoyed the round, we hope to see you again….no friendly greetings at all. We won’t be back!

There is alot of sand but after playing it, there is alot of grass that you cannot see from the tee.. Playing it again would have been a better round.

Will play again when back in Phoenix

Played on Thanksgiving morning. Just came out of overfeeding so we were able to do 90 degrees. The course is in great shape and played well. Very nice morning.
