Located in the desert just north of Phoenix and Scottsdale, the golf course at Quintero Golf Club is a challenge but with up to as many as nine tees per hole, it can accommodate golfers of all different abilities and handicaps. The rolling, desert terrain of the course features dramatic elevation changes for interesting play. The golf course's design has wide fairways and plenty of water hazards and sand bunkers. The most difficult hole is the par-5 8th hole, which plays uphill with three large bunkers alongside the right side of the lay-up area. Another difficult but noteworthy hole is Quintero Golf Club's third, which has a scenic lake to the left that sometimes tricks golfers into playing close to it with their tee shot for an easier second shot to the green.

Hot one at Quintero

First time playing at Quintero, got a great afternoon online rate and braved the heat.

Great atmosphere!

Still a little overpriced for August and how far away from the city it is. Course was in great shape for August, no dead spots in fairways. Tough course with lots of O.B. plus the crazy amount of bunkers. Definitely didn’t score close to my GHIN number. Bring extra golf balls! Beautiful course, not sure I’d pay the peak season rate, great experience no less.

Loud Doorbell Chime

The course is in great shape especially considering it is summer. The greens roll true. The GPS on the carts will "ping" with a message to remind you to fix your ball marks. There are several greens with multiple ball mark scars. Honestly people if you are to lazy or can't bend over to fix your ball mark then don't play and ruin the experience for other people. Despite the scars the greens putted smoothly. The GPS will also sound out with a loud "doorbell warning chime" at times. I kept saying "come in" but no one ever did. The carts have GPS and an ice chest with two bottles of water. There is also a couple of comfort stations with water and ice. Other than the two inconsiderate idiots who jumped nearly a half hour ahead of their tee time to get in front of me and played from the wrong tees and slow, the experience was excellent.

A must play!

This course lives up to its reputation. Some pretty tough holes. Well taken care of and all the elevated par 3s were magical. I can't think of anything to say negative other than two beverages were 23 bucks from the cart lady. The help was very respectful and the couple we played with made our anniversary even better. Thanks Neil and Ashley.

Worth the drive. A must play in the Phoenix area. Bring your A game

I almost didn't play this course based on a recent review. I don't know what course that reviewer played but it wasn't Quintero. Course is in great shape for the Phoenix summer. Yes, there were a few brown spots on some of the fairways. It is the summer in the desert! My guess is that the previous reviewer shot 10 over his handicap and wanted to punish the course for a very difficult, but fair, layout. Three of the best par 3 holes in the valley. Plenty of tee box choices based on your game. True desert golf. Only a couple of houses in view. Play it before it goes private. You will not be disappointed, unless of course you play from the wrong tee box.

Almost every hole has a forced carry so it you're not a below 90s golfer the course will eat you up. Bring extra golf balls. It is hard to go around Quintero without a ball or two or a few in the desert.

Dont believe the Negative Comments.

First of all, I play this course roughly twice a year in the summer. (Can't afford winter rates) After reading some recent reviews are group was exspecting the course to be in rough shape, NOT TRUE! The greens were punched roughly 3 weeks ago, BUT they looked great and rolled true. (We all thought 13 on the stimp) Some Divots on the Greens but that's due to Lazy Golfers and not the Greens Keeper fault. Some browning in the Fairways (Its 105 Deg, thats exspected) Were the bunkers lacking a little sand, sure, but that would be our only complaint and thats reaching. We Teed off at 0832 and pace of play was Good. You will lose some balls in the desert, leave them and hit another. Looking for them is what slows play down. I've played alot of courses around this side recently, Copper Canyon (Which I Love) Trilogy, Verrado, Falcon Dunes (Luke AFB course which is our Home Course) and for the $104 we paid (Including Tax) This was well worth the Money. Make no mistake, if you struggle from the Tee you will have a LONG DAY! I'm already Looking Forward to Coming Back!!! 11.7 Hcp

Tough track

If you can’t break 85 at your home course, do not play here. This course will tear you up! Such your ego to the side and go play an executive course. You will lose a dozen golf balls by the end of the round. There should be a mandatory Teebox location for your handicap.

Plugged and dud

Greens were just plugged, but in all it was just terrible slices dices and everything fairways were dead in areas. No sand in the sand traps hard pan. Very disappointing probably not go back for the price they want.
