Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club

I want to be fair with this review so understand that as a residential course this place is okay. However it’s marketed as “just golf” and they talk about how the approaches are trees instead of living rooms. Every hole is surrounded by houses. If you understand that you won’t get what they tell you then it’s a fine course, but don’t book a tee time thinking it’s all scenery and secluded. Pace of play is about three groups per hole, one at the tee, one on the fairway, and one on the green.

Extremely poor. Waited every single hole to tee off. Took close it 5 hours to play. We heard a group a few holes ahead had kids and they were hitting multiple shots per hole. And we know the ranger knew. We talked to him. They should have monitored more often and either moved that group along or asked them to leave. Held up all the groups just not to anger one? Not a receipt for repeat business. And we play all over the area. By far the worst we ever ran into

The only problem was hole 9.

As a women, it's impossible for me to hit the ball over that huge gully next to the bridge. Instead of loosing my ball, I just drop it on the other side.

Staff were awesome from my welcome as a Canadian (he called it by my wearing shorts on a cold morning) in the Pro Shop, to the starter who was personable and told me about the course to the Marshall who lent me a fleece seat cover for my cart to make things a little more comfortable.

The greens, while slow due to overseeing growth, were in impeccable condition. Kudos to the course superintendent.

I was paired with three retired gentlemen from Tennessee who were welcoming and made the round wholly enjoyable.

Fantastic experience for the price!

First off, the course it in pretty good condition. Greens are over seeded, and they don't break as much as you would think. Overall, the conditions were quite good. The "mats" at the range absolutely suck, but really, that is a minor complaint.

My issue is with the layout. Maybe it just doesn't suit my eye, but it really feels quirky. I especially don't like holes 1, 3, 9, and 16. You can hit decent drives with less than driver and either not be in the fairway or still have a long ways in. 1 and 16 in particular just aren't well designed in my opinion.

This is just not a place I enjoy playing. If you like this course, the conditions are comparatively good for the area right now. Not many places are pristine, because we just haven't had enough sun. So, they have done a pretty good job in this area. I wish I liked it better, because it isn't far from me, but it will be off my rotation for the foreseeable future.

They play was slow due to carts on path.

Some holes were very wet and many of the

bunkers were fulll of water.

A bit of rain the night before did put a little dampness on course conditions with Cart Path only but still playable overall. A few sand traps were holding water and areas in the fairways were mushy. Greens looked great but are a bit slow.

.We enjoy the layout and look forward to going back.

Shout out to the friendly staff - Ernie in the clubhouse, Mark the starter, the Ranger, Westly the bartender and of course Brie the cart girl.

Course was in good condition, greens were lush and slow but I’m a 20 HDCP so it was fine by me. Was playing behind several groups that was having a 2 man scramble tourney so pace was slow but not unbearable. One of my favorite courses in North FL

Winter time is almost the best time to go golfing , and it was no crowded that day, made everything better , the course was pretty good for winter grass , the greens were smooth, overall I'd come back here .
