About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Layout is very good but greens looked like fairways
You can tell that this place used to be a really nice place. The layout is quite nice but it has maintenance issues. Tee boxes were rough and the greens were poor with various grass and weed types and sandy bare spots. They were so high that it was nearly impossible to hit a putt to the hole. If the greens were better maintained, I would play there again.
Greens need help. And pin placement flags
Course in ok shape. The greens need help. A variety of different grasses, several greens had large bad areas. Also pin flags giving front, middle or back would help.
Nice course for the price
Orangebrooke is our « go to » golf course. Nothing fancy but we enjoy playing there. The fairways our decent. Some greens still need some work (sand and weeds) but they are quite fast .
I wouldn’t pay full price (62$ on T-OFF) but for around 50$ it’s worth it. I believe several leagues play there regularly also.
Needs some TLC
Course layout is fun to play. Lots of water and seemed slow because back to back waiting, but only took 3 1/2 hrs to at. Staff were very friendly and fun to deal with. Let us out 30 plus minutes early to fill a foursome. Green were in poor shape with lots of crabgrass, but they had treated some so there is a lot of sand on greens. 8 would still recommend this course because of there personnel!

Range balls
Staff was friendly but not real informative..
checked in asked for range balls got the tokens.. my clubs were taken from bag drop to the staging area for carts.
Was asked my tee time.. which I was a hour early for so I could get range balls.. guy told me can’t take cart to the range! Oh I say yes they (inside) should have told you that when you got the tokens.. the range is no where close to the stageing area.. so my wife and I had to carry our clubs to the range. Not a real problem just didn’t expect..
Also wasn’t told you don’t return to the club house at the turn. No cart person out on course for drinks.. so again been nice to know up front..
The course is pretty open except for a few holes. Some greens were in need of repair but overall not bad..
