About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Terrible Green
The course is one of my best places to play. However, the greens are in terrible shape this year. Lots of sand I'm hoping this is because of the start of the season because I really enjoy playing there. But I'm gone wait a while before going back.

The greens were pretty bad. Lost a couple balls in the rough grass, maybe it was a little too high. Greens had a lot of grey patches of dirt, maybe 1 or 2 greens were solid and we played all 18, maybe the weather, idk I’m not the expert.

Unfriendly Golfing Experience
Orange brook presented an unfriendly environment from the first moments of arrival. The Starter was unfriendly (curt and abrupt).
I was taken aback when he told me I was too early to be assigned a golf cart (tee time was 940 am and it was 925 am) and more than a dozen carts were available! The chipping area was unkept and tiny; The course was playable but badly in need of TLC especially.

Dog track conditions
Title says it all. The course was in horrible condition. Tee boxes were okay, fairways were patchy at best and greens were an abomination. I opted not to put on these greens during my round since it could only do harm to my putting stroke. Play this course only if you want to work on your iron play.

Sad shape
I've played both courses here and unfortunately the greens on the west course are in horrible shape. I love both course's. But the east side is closed and the west side are in very bad shape. It's too bad because they are both great to play but I will wait until they do something with the greens. Not worth it now. Sad

DO NOT PLAY
Got to the course 30 minutes early… checked in and was not allowed to get a cart because it was “too early”… course is in terrible shape! Greens are unplayable! Pace of play is rough! They sent 3 groups at the same time so we a 5 hour and 30 minute round. Not a single ranger to speed up play.
Cart girl is just a straight unfriendly and they don’t take card! They do not have any water fountain or vending machines on the course plus the turn is not close to the clubhouse so bring lots of fluids!
Would not recommend and will not play again!

Great layout
The course has been improving greatly but the recent rain storms have caused a significant impact on the progress that was being made. It's a challenging venue and I look forward to playing it again when the dry season arrives.

It keeps getting worse.
Year by year this place gets worse and worse. Burnt greens with multiple species of grass that most home gardeners would identify as weeds. The superintendent should be ashamed. Clearly the word agronomy has never crossed their mind.
Multiple lengths of fairway and rough often times on the same hole. Excess grass clippings litter the rough like a fresh cut pasture. Overall a disappointment. This course has all the potential in the world but clearly whoever is attempting to run and maintain this course is incompetent or incapable.
Spend the extra 15 and play almost anywhere else.

Could be great but….
First time playing this course was really shocked at the $35 green fee. I had heard some good things about it but the course has really been let go. The grass was way too tall and the fairways were you couldn’t tell the difference between French and Fairway. putting greens were in the worst shape. I’ve seen a Florida course in quite a while. They definitely need to start taking care of them.
Staff was pretty friendly, but wouldn’t recommend getting any food from the clubhouse either. Layout was decent, not too narrow with some challenging holes if they were just to shut this course down and really revive it and take care of it it could easily be a $60-$80 course.
