Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY
WOULD GOLF THERE AGAIN!! THE FAIRWAY WERE IN GREAT SHAPE
Very nice indeed
One wouldn't expect such a nice course right in the city. We play this course twice a year, and we were surprised to see how nice it is. The fairways, start areas, greens, all were in super shape, nicest I've seen here. The layout is interesting with magnificent banyon trees through the course.
very compact golf course
We started with 1 hre and 1/2 later that our starting time. As usual, Can Am golf put the trouble with too much players on the site between the starting times . We arrived at 11 hre 45 and there was 40 golfers waiting before us. Also, everybody was waiting for the golf carts. I saw all the first hole empty because there was no golf cart avalaible....After that, you play golf and everything goes wrong. You are not minded to play correctly. A bad day.........................I will continue to play Inverrary or Woodmount or Sunrise. Our foursome was very disappointed. This revew is not for publishing...
Good Course To Play
Enjoyed the course. Pace of play was good. Condition of the course was good. Staff was VERY UNFRIENDLY!
This course has two 9 holes completly different.
That course has nice greens on the back nine, many burned and bared spot on the first nine. Great bunkers with powder white sand.
The day we played, there were a lot of dead leaves on ground. Hard to see ours balls in fairways and roughs also. The main problem for the average golfers to play there is the par 4 are to long and some were unable to use the driver because creek crossing fairways on drive.
cheap but does it worth it?
we arrived 40 minutes before our tee time, but we were asked to come back later to chek in. then we had a very slow game on poorly maintened and narrow fairways . it was also the slowest greens we've faced in the area.

Greens a little spotty, but rolled fine.Overall condition just OK with some bare spots in places.
Course was OK. Only a par 70. Hackers beware because inaccurate shots can hit cars on a nearby highway.
A pleasant round of golf,overall.
Reasonable course conditions with the exception of the greens, which could be improved considerably. Very attentive and super friendly staff. A good golf experience with good pace of play in the field.

Very enjoyable layout for every level of play. Starter and ranger were fantastic. Eager to help and please. Thanks for a great experience from a myrtle beach, sc visitor.

Comes at you moderately and then the back nine is a real challenge - long and sand protecting every green.

It's a municipal course so you get what you pay for. It is very challenging compared to other type courses. Fairways in good shape but rough is just that. Greens were a little sandy.
If you just want a leisurly round of golf, this plce is OK. Nice that that they keep the groups moving on a busy day.
Great Course Friendly Staff
Enjoyed the course very much, greens were rolling nice and were in good condition. I would definitely play again. It's a great value and enjoyable. The course is very friendly, but you want to hit your shot to the front of the green and roll up. The majority of the greens are raised and slope off the back. A gem of a course.

Good course, it was over booke so iit did slow down the pace of play but FL in the season is crazy so play in the summer

Nice course for a last minute game. Not much bad to write about, nothing to impress though
This is a great value.
We booked with GolfNow and paid $78 fro 2 to play a great course. Small greens and pleantly of distance. Not really great for women. Front tees do not give them much of an advantage. We are going back today.
