Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Playable Donald Ross traditional course
Course is in decent shape. Greens are fast. Dropoffs behind many greens signature Donald Ross design. Not as many doglegs as other Ross courses. Some water holes. Not too long for average golfer.
Pristine Greens
The greens were awesome!! Well manicured, not too fast and they roll perfectly. The rest of the course is well kept as well The fairways are fairly wide and the rough is cut down so if you have a slight mishit you don't get penalized so bad. All in all this trac is a fair test of golf and I will definitly be back to play it again!!

This course was in the best shape I have seen it in in many years.
Would definately give it a thumbs up! Staff is excellent, and the condition is fantastic, especially considering the many folks using it. It is deceptively challenging, as well.
A gem worth sporting!!
great course for the price we paid
this was the first time playing this course and i must say that the layout was great, had very challenging holes as well as forgivness for the not so straight drive. It had quite a few holes you have to hit over water but very managable. For the amount of people golfing that day, the flow was great, still had time to catch dolphins game (should've golfed another 9 holes) after teeing off at 1030am. the staff was excellent as the cart lady (sorry dont know her name) was making her rounds consistently. they also had a food stand at end of the 9th holes which was great. i would definitely recommend playing this course as i will play it many times more, especially for the price from golf now.

Fairly typical Florida course set in an historic area, close to the Hollywood Beach. Would play again if in area.
Old charming golf club
this old traditional Golf cours has the perct layout for Amateur golfers
Donald Ross course built in 1924.
The course was fair but challenging on certain holes. The pace of play was good on the front 9 but slowed a bit on the back 9. Friendly staff but no driving range. Would definitely play again.
Great old layout
Challenging par 3's , but par 5's were somewhat short. Charming course with the water and old trees. Long par 4's were very challenging with hazards being placed with a lot of risk/reward,
Old School Fun
This is a great classic old school course and I love the 100 year old trees. Some of my golf balls are in those trees. The course plays very fair and has enough challenge to it to make it fun. We have played this course only twice but will return. Nice staff and only ran into grumpy golfers once - you guys know who you are. So definitely play this course unless you don't like trees or if you get grumpy on a beautifully sunny day playing golf.
Challenging
A course that I have played many times, seems easy but turns out to be quite challenging, nice people run it. Gets a bit busy during winter due to many snow birds
