About
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Golf Now service
I did not play because the course had only 8 holes open due the rain the night before. So I cancelled my round.Golf Now has will not reimburse me even though it was not my fault.I play on a average 135 rounds of golf with Golf Now. I have been a vip for over a decade. Golf Now service is deteriorating.In the past 3 months I have noticed that Golf Now is only interested in making money. They don't care about their customers anymore.
I realize their drainage is poor and the heavy rains 2 weeks ago wracked havoc on the course, but the amount of garbage strewn around is horrible. They should close for ONE day and have their maintenance crews do a COMPLETE clean up of the course.
I have been playing there at least once a week since the pandemic hit and I have never seen it so horrible.
Hardly any grass anywhere!!!
It’s a shame how city of Hollywood have let this gem deteriorate.
50$ green fee is a robbery. ECO is better than this one now
Course needs some work on it, I actually can not believe that a pro puts his name to this course.
Course appears to have weak to no proper/unclogged water drainage. (Fairways or bunkers). Lots of debris on course (leaves, sticks, etc). Greens were sandy or full of seed. Only able to play on 8 holes. Would understand if holes closed to be worked, properly seeded, etc. But it didn't appear that was the reasoning.
Very nice people running the place but the grounds keeper (if there is one) is either incredibly lazy or non existent. Regardless of ability to fix major issues, even small things like roping off areas or picking up leaves should be done.

Putting on Sand for 18 holes
Greens are in HORRIBLE condition. Basically knew I had no chance to make a putt even if I had a great approach shot. It was like putting in a bunker for 18 holes. I’ve played this course probably 20 times and never seen it in this condition.

Bad course … not maintained ,,,, full of weed on the greens…! Expensive for the condition….. all bad except STAFF is friendly
The grass is burnt badly
Course needs to be maintained better. A sprinkler system would go a long way. Greens could at least be in better shape too.
