Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Disaster
The staff is super friendly and helpful but.......worst course conditions in South Florida. This place is depressing. Don't get fooled by the cheap price it is not worth the 20 something bucks.
An old standard
I’ve played this course many times through the years and will continue to when in SoFlo. It seems like there’s been a lot of improvements to the course which was good to see. I was hesitant to play it after reading recent reviews but those issues seemed to be extremely over blown. Yes, a few fairways were a bit patchy but it’s obvious to see they’re being addressed. The greens were a little slow but I adjusted and never gave it another thought. The staff here is excellent. I will absolutely be returning to play soon. Just hoping to not get paired up with the courses haters
Dissapointed
Well-designed course but in horrible condition. Burnt out and sandy tees, burnt out fairways, and mostly grassless greens full of weeds. Probably better to plow this one under and build condos. What a shame - could be a really good track but I guess the funding just isn't there to make it happen.
Old course way past its prime
Course has interesting design layout. Too bad the fairways are burnt out, so they are like hitting off bare ground. Tees are mostly barren of grass and sandy. Greens are overgrown with weeds and extremely slow. The staff is very friendly though, but that cannot make up for the pitiful course condition.
Nope
Play the course on a blind reservation, judging from photos. Was totally disappointed. The course was in terrible condition, fairways were spotty grass at best, greens were sanded and extremely long and really no amenities to speak of. There was no cart service on the course, the lounge didn’t open until nine after we had Thieroff originally. Pace of play was extremely slow, for some here and there surrounded by singles and doubles really made things difficult. You were either waiting for the force them to move on in front of you or constantly had singles and doubles playing up behind you were just driving past you to skip holes.

I feel your pain! Because it I s really a great layout. What a shame. Can't understand why it's so run down.
