Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club
About
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

It could be a nice golf course
This course could be nice if they have a green keeper. There was weeds on the greens. Green speed was a "3" :) Good course for the biginners. Lady restrooms need to be cleaned. The smell was horible.
The course being in bad shape it should be closed. Repair and reopen.
I make this mistake once a year.
Every year I try this course because it is so close to my home. Every year I ask myself why did I waste my time and money on this course. On the plus side it has a friendly staff and a decent layout. BUT the course is always lousy shape. The greens are HORRIBLE!!! The fairways are bare and muddy. It is a shame because it could be a nice little track if they would do the upkeep.
Horrible course
The course is still in disarray 8 weeks after Hurricane Irma. Huge trees are still down on many holes. In fact, there were only 8 playable holes, and then you replayed them for a round, Problem, is that isn't a round a 18, but 16, yet they still charged for 18. AND they don't tell you this before you pay. You find out after you have paid then they tell you that only 8 holes are playable. Very deceitful, I think. I will never play there again and will NOT recommend it to anyone.
The swamp
The title says it all, half the course was a swamp, the tee off from 6,7,8,9,10,11,15,17,18 jumping around the hole time trying. The greens rolled like a RC track put together by a 5 year old, up down bounce dirt fungus patches of weeds. The staff grade A, the price 15$ still an ok deal but if your an experienced golfer just wait till some of the modifications are done before going here. I will say it’s nearly impossible to loose a ball here so beginners go for it.
Not bad for after a hurricane
Could only play 9 twice due to the hurricane..I know the course pretty well..its not a bad course for 25-30 dollars...not really worth any more than that...
Terrible condition after Irma
Only 9 holes scattered. Horrible fairways and greens. Debris all over. They should not have opened!
Great Staff very friendly and professional. Great value for the money.
Uggghhhhh
I've been playing golf 40 plus years, from Florida to California. And i can say without hesitation this is by far the worst course I've ever played. The layout is so boring. Every hole is dead straight and completely flat (17 being the only exception-its a very slight dogleg left) And the greens are the slowest I've ever experienced. I would guess the green speed to be 6-7. About the same as shag carpeting. So why did I play there? I was alone, and for 20 bucks I figured it would be better than just hitting a couple of buckets. (btw-they don't have a driving range) If I hadn't have hooked up with another single, I would have left after 9. Now that Hillcrest has closed, there really isn't anywhere in Hollywood worth playing. Do yourself a favor and skip this goat farm. Take a short drive south and try Miami Shores instead. They have some of the best greens you will play on a public course. You will be glad you did.
Good Course
Plenty of fairway to hit. Water does come into play on a few holes. Starter was very friendly. I would play again. Great time!
