Relaxing course
My 15 yr old son and I are just average players so we were looking for a course that wasn't too challenging. This course was perfect. Nice wide fairways and not too much water or scruff. The front nine that we played was in decent condition with only a couple of the greens needing some work. The holes we played were tough enough for us and we really enjoyed the fact that we were able to go at out own pace and weren't rushed. My son liked that the holes weren't too long for him. We will definitely be going back.
Good value
I played this course four times in a two week vacation. If you play later in the day the cost goes down making good value. I found the course very challenging with lots of places to find trouble. One thing I did not like was the yardage was not marked very clearly except for the 150 yard marker. Making club selection difficult. Greens were average and speaking with others I joined up with, that was their opinion as well. Some greens were bumpy. Staff was friendly. Overall, enjoyed playing this coarse and would play their again.
Great for families
We took our kids out golfing in the afternoon. Course was beautiful...not used to hills in Florida. Price was right and afternoon was slow so we could take our time with the kids. Staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend this course.
Great Views
I found the front 9 more difficult...Holes 3 and 5 bit me real bad...found my game on the back nine shooting 39 and was 4 inches from an ace on 16...Some greens were sparsely grass covered and need some TLC, fairways in good condition....Great views on many holes...all in all a pleasant golf day!
After your round be sure to sit on the patio, savor a cool drink and enjoy the views....
Palisades Review
This course is not set-up for Senior's. The gold tees are over 6000 yards and not good for someone who does not have a good long game. The greens on the back nine were bumpy and irregular. I will not play this course again.
Need to learn customer service...
My Father in-law and I drove 50 mins from the resort we were staying in to play this morning. We meet someone on Sunday and he recommended this course to us. It was extremely foggy this morning, but they were still pushing out the tee times. You couldn't see your ball fly more then 30-50 yards. Since we needed to be back for the afternoon we went when they told us. Not knowing the course it was very hard to know when and where to hit the ball. We played 3 holes and knew that the fog wasn't going to lift anytime soon, so we decided to pack it in. We figured that we would possibly get a refund since we live in another country and are traveling or a rain check. But to our surprise they didn't offer us anything. The gentleman in the pro-shop even went to ask the General Manager and they said there was nothing they could do. I understand they can't control the weather, but give me a break. First of all it was way to dangerous to be sending golfers out in the first place, someone was going to get hit by the ball. I worked in the golf industry for 8 years, I understand how it works, if I was the person in the pro-shop I wouldn't of hesitated one second to offer a rain-check or even a refund if they were from out of country like we were. So because of this utterly poor display of customer service on their behalf I would never recommend this course to a single person...
ok
The course was ok,. Has a long way to go to be back in the condition it was years ago.
cHALLENGING AND SCENIC
Had a challenging great round of golf enjoyed with family members from out of town. The scenery and holes are fantastic! The staff are very polite and friendly ensuring that all of your needs are met. After our great round of golf, we were greeted with a 'out of this world' Italian meal in the clubhouse restaurant. The chef and owner personally attended our table to advise us of the specials and to say goodbye to us and return often, which we will!
worth the drive
this course is not for the beginner player.
greens needed a bit of work but other than that the course was in good condition.
Due to difficulty of the course the pace of play was slow but we were able to finish in about 4 3/4 hrs.
we will play there again and will recommend this to others.
Greens
The course was good with some interesting holes but the greens. We're in terrible shape with areas that actually turned your ball off course.
slow moving
there was a twosome in front of us that was playing very slow and there was a twosome behind us that was pushing us they should of paired up the twosomes to move the game along also there was a twosome in front of the twosome that was slowing us down
Nice course, little tired
This is a course with some nice holes. Let's mention # 11, need to be careful, it can ruin your day...Unfortunatly, this course could use some help...Greens are in bad shape, some alley bunkers have tall weeds around them, there is no drinking water on the course, some fairways are patchy.
Worth also mentioning that a sign is missing at # 11 tee box ( white)...if you are not careful, or like us, if this is your first time on this course, you could pass by the tee box and could disturb somebody on its way to drive its ball...a sign could address this, especially for visitors...
Our rating might sound severe...this is due to the 5 hours we spent on the course...
Great course layout, but needs attention
I love this course, have played it many times over the last 8 yrs. In recent years it has had issues with ownership but hopefully these problems are behind it.
Sadly the greens were badly affected by fungal damage ( covered in dollar sized dry dead patches) following the unusually wet weather over the last week or so. Time will tell if this recovers.
The pace of play was slow, not helped by a 5 ball ahead of us, but it was afternoon so not surprised.
Overall this is good value and a good test of golf.
Greens
The greens were in very bad shape the remainder of course was decent.Understand the course was closed for a period of time so this may be the reason the greens were not in good shape??
Good Layout
We liked the course design but all the greens show grass kill,. All had hundreds of small round bare spots, disease maybe? They were slow and bumpy. This took away much of the usual fun of playing.
Stay away
2pm tee time and had to wait for a cart. Oddly enough, the Ranger was getting off for the day. Now if all your carts are out on the course, it's obviously busy, so why is the ranger done for the day?
Pace of play was horrible, we waited on every shot and were unable to finish the round. At 4.5 hours we packed it in after 16.
The worst part of the day was the condition of the course, Tee boxes not mowed, fairways full of weeds, wild hog wallows throughout the back 9, and the worst greens I have ever played. They were more pocked marked brown than they were greens. Looks like they were subjected to some sort of disease. Impossible to make a putt outside of 10ft, cause the ball is going to bounce all over.
Do not waste your time or money here!!
rainy saturday
Rainy day make play really slow as everyone stopped for raingreens on the back nine were in rough shape ..overall nice course
Nice course but..........
Every time we make or try to make at reservation thru GolfNow.com the course always has a "computer" problem. Instead of our reservation time, which they could not find, even though I had a copy of the confirmation, we had to wait another 45 min to play. The fairways were in good condition but I can't say the same for the greens. Pace of play the first 9 was slow but picked up the second 9. Will possibly play again and keep my fingers crossed that they don't loose my reservation again.
