Green Valley Country Club
About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

little bumpy
Have played the course before, layout is fun enough. They had just over-seeded, could see the seed but it had not germinated yet, the fairways were blocked but had a hard time t\determining where the fairway was to keep off it - to us it all looked like rough. There was grass and many weeds everywhere. Greens were slow and weedy.
Excellent Old School Course
Fantastic 1960's course in central FL. Course was in good condition, greens excellent. fairways were just ok. It was a tough summer to keep up courses. Great time !!
Win Win
My wife who is not a golfer joined me on this day. It was a win win because I was able to play and spend time with my better half. She enjoined the ride and the tranquility.
Green Valley
Enjoyed the layout. Bunker were playable. Fairways and greens need some weed control. Greens were surprisingly fast, but aeration and weeds in the greens impacted the putting..
Disappointed
We played there in the spring and this time I was very disappointed. The course needs work. The best fairway was the 9th/10th hole. The greens were horrible. Too many of those little clusters of weed(?) that were flattened down that caused your ball to shift - hit a cluster and your ball bypasses the hole.
Not what it Once was
This course is not in as good shape as it Once was. Greens are average at best. Not worth rack rates. Barely worth a HOT DEAL time.
Decent
I’ve played this course numerous times and enjoy the layout. The course is usually in good shape but it’s a little bit beat up right now. The greens have bad dead patches on them. They must have just punched them because they were really bumpy and hard to putt on. The fairways are decent but about half of the tee boxes are unleveled. Overall, you get what you pay for.
Always a fun course.
Got a great time and price from GolfNow as a single. Lady in the pro shop was very accommodating in trying to get me out on a busy Sunday AM.
The fairways were cut but not the rough. In some places people were searching for balls. A little shaggy around the greens and bunkers. The undulating greens rolled well, even though they hadn't been cut that morning.
It's worth the trip out to Groveland just to putt those crazy greens.
Wait for improvements
The club house clerk was rude and negative about me being a GolfNow customer.
We liked the layout and the course itself
Tee boxes, fairways, & greens had many weeds
But it will be a long time before our return.
Customer Service should be paramount.
Decent Layout
Played Green Valley CC as a Hot Deal and not sure I'd want to pay full price. We were greeted in the pro shop by a very friendly lady who could not have been more helpful. Unfortunately we were behind a slow four ball for the front 9 but had no bother after then as they only played 9 holes. Course is in reasonable shape though fairways and greens are not quite up there with some of the other courses in the area. Greens ran fairly true though there is a mixture of grasses on them. The best holes are probably around the turn as this is where the water comes in to play.
5 Balls! No thank you.
Along with a good friend, I have been visiting Florida for golf trips for over 30 years. We have got used to the fact that golf here is not the same as at home. We have got used to bunkers not being raked , pitch marks not being repaired, and buggies being driven into places where they shouldn't be. We have played Green Valley many times
over the years and have always enjoyed ourselves. However Saturday last was I'm afraid a bridge too far. Nine holes behind a 5 ball! No thanks. Why any course allows 5 Balls is a mystery. Any course that does certainly won't see us again
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Green Valley Country Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
Great course
Great greens, been playing here for 20 years, great course..
Very nice fairways
Love the layout and the greens was very fair. I definitely will play again before I leave back home to Las Vegas.
Good course
Some rough spots but a great layout. I parred the first hole and had 3 more pars. Picture is of the first hole, first shot!! I tee off from the gold.
As many of your ‘headlines’ read, you are likely‘ not what you once were’ either.
