Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Short but good variation
Nice gentle track short in length. Quite busy as two courses there. Carts were in short supply day I played.
Green only ok some pins probably needed to be changed. Think staffing levels are tight, no sign of course ranger all day. Pro shop could do with some investment.
Friendly, welcoming staff
From the time I arrived until the final putt on 18, I felt at home. Course was well maintained and offered a good challenge for my game.
Wonderful layout!
Course elevation changes were a nice change of pace. overall course in pretty good condition and was an enjoyable day. Shot an 83 with 1 lost ball so was not an overall unfriendly course to a first timer. A couple of blind shots but gps kept us on line
18 holes on 27 Feb 2024
Good conditions, good pace of play, good company therefor good round of golf. Minor point - a lot of leaves on the greens
First time played
Fairways , are extremely tight , have to pick the ball . Greens ran very true !
Neglected course
Played this course a month earlier and did not expect much in terms of the condition. This last time, it seems that nobody done any maintenance since previous time so the course looked even worse maintained. Great layout.
International Flavor
Enjoyable outing with 2 players from Canada and a player from Germany. Pace started to lag, but a ranger came out and moved things along. Played in less than 4 hours. Golf Now membership discounts got me on the course for $20!! What can I say...Nice course, good playing partners, all for $20!
Enjoyed the round of golf - dissappointed after
Played this course on 2/21/24, first time here playing with a friend who is local. Enjoyed the course and the course was in good condition. The starter was friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that I left my pullover Callaway fleece jacket in the cart at 4:45pm along with my putter head cover. Called the course the very next morning and they claimed they did not have it. Followed up with an email that same next morning to the pro-shop with no response at all. I work at a golf course in NC and it is common to find belongings in carts which we then put in a lost and found for return to the owner if/when they call. Very disappointed in the staffs handling of this matter - apparently a staff member wanted my jacket. I likely will never play here again for this reason only.
Enjoyable day
Snuck out of work early to enjoy some golf. Great course. Worth the short drive. We were a twosome and we caught up with the twosome in front of us. They invited us to play with them which helped to speed up play for the groups behind us.
No food or water
OK for $107 course was in good shape, but they no breakfast sandwiches or wraps, playing king ridge and you never cross pro shop or clubhouse, no vending machines , and only met beverage cart on hole 16, I mean you strictly prohibit coolers, but if I come back I'll have one with Gatorade, water and snacks, I can't remember a course were drinks and food not readily available especially in that price range, and our start was 45 min delayed because of league game on a Saturday, starter just said not happy go get your money nice..... Oh well it was a fun course but they definitely need to pick up their hospitality game
So Slow - Unfortunate
Played in a foursome a little after 11 am. Waited on every single shot. Just way too many players on the course. I appreciate it is high season but it was ridiculous. 4 1/2 hours is not normally terrible for a public course but you shouldn’t be waiting on every shot. It’s really too bad because everything else about the course was great. Fairways have been redone and were nice. Greens were fast. Tee boxes could use some work but not bad. Staff were friendly. They even had a beverage cart which seems to be a bonus in Florida these days. Not even sure a Marshall would have helped. Just need to space out the tee times a bit more. Hurts the income but improves player experience immensely.
