Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Conditions
Fairways were wonderful but the tee boxes and greens were very bad.
Can the entire 18 greens be this bad, anywhere?
Last time I played here was 2 years ago so, I won’t know what happened in that time but the course I remember to be very nice wasn’t anymore. The tee boxes were all sand, literally. However, what is shockingly worse was seeing ALL 18 GREENS are in so bad shape covered with bald spots, weeds, and sand! That you can’t make a decent putt. When you putt, ball literally bounces and zig-zags its way to the cup. It was so bad, it was almost funny! We ended up counting all putts as two and done with the entire course. Last time was two years ago, next time may never be.
sdf
Can't best the price. Fairways were good. Many greens have been bear spots and poor growth. Would be a very good golf course if the greens were repaired.
The greens are not in great shape, the rest of the course is OK
stay away
From T to Green, the course is horrible. Used to be great until you hear better stay away from this course.
Tee boxes and greens were terrible fairways were sparce overall very poor conditions
Worst Greens I've ever played on
The greens seem diseased and un-puttable. I don't know how it happened. I played here 6 weeks ago and they were great! greens have all gone to 💩 in that time. They recently aerated so I pray that fixes them. I love this course and play it frequently but I wont be back until the greens are better.
Greens & Tees are Struggling
I liked the overall layout and the staff was great. However, the greens and tee boxes have not be cared for consistently. There were weeds, dead spots, and just plain dirt for boxes on some holes. I think this could be a great course but it needs some grounds crew care for sure.
Needs some TLC
I have played this course a number of times and enjoy the layout. I knowingly booked aerification tee time. The greens were as expected but the real surprise was the conditions of the tee boxes. I’ve never seen them so bad and it was clear that nothing was being done to fix them.
I had an issue with my cart on the 7th and needed a replacement. I tried calling the club house with no answer. I needed to walk to pick up a replacement cart which was extremely aggravating.
Terrible Course
Played this course May last year and it was in good condition, this year the complete opposite, tees and greens are awful, worst I’ve ever played on. I will not be going back .
What happened to this course ???
All 18 greens were in horrible condition - aeration holes were big and bare spots/diseases can be found on most if not all 18 greens. Some spots on fairways were scalped to dirt level and weeds are prominent throughout the course. Waste of money to play……
Poor Condition
I played this course in May last year and it was fine , this year I can not believe how a course can be let to get in this condition, it’s probably the worst tees and greens i have had the misfortune to play on , you could not pay me enough to play there again in fact I would appreciate it if I can have our fee refunded.
Is a nice course when not aerated and well watered
Fairways and roughs in fair shape (needed more water), sand traps hard packed with very little sand (need deep raked), greens recently aerated and heavily sanded (needing a lot of water). Nice layout and could be more challenging if properly watered and the sand traps properly maintained.
Kings Ridge Sunday Golf
The course was in really bad condition. They close the front 9, so we have to play the same back 9 twice. The greens are unplayable. They need a lot of work.
DONT GOLF HERE
Course has seen better days. Conditions are in terrible shape, only good greens that are playable were the par 3s. Rest of greens were sand and bare. Tee boxes had no grass. Only good thing were fairways, not worth the “members rate” of $60. Also you are playing the back 9 twice. Ranger came to us after the 16th hole telling us the front 9 was open but “it’s in worse shape than the back 9”.
$25-$30 course at best. Would stay far away until conditions get better.
