Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Phoenix staff at booking did not tell us one nine was closed. Still got charged regular price
Notification
When booking T time I was never informed that the entire course was not available and only the front nine was open.
Never as it seems
The last two times I’ve played this course, I was disappointed.
First time, they never told us there was a tournament so when we hit 10, we had to wait until everyone in tournament teed off.
Yesterday, when we reached 10 we found out that we were only allowed to play the front nine over and when we got to one we had a long wait.
Had I known each time what the situation was I would not have played the course.
Fool me once, fool me twice. You won’t get the opportunity a third time.
Course needs help
It would be nice if and when you do an aerification that you let players know that you are closing one side and need to play the same 9-holes over again, with no starter, and the players making the turn complicate the issue. Just get the money and let the players figure it out on their own. Great management.
Do not play here
This is my first time ever writing a review on golf now and I use to love this course. It’s the worst course I’ve played in a very long time. Please do not waste your money.
What a disappointment
What used to be a great course that was taken care of has turned into an absolute joke of a “golf course”. It’s really sad actually! Some of the greens were in solid shape with a few rough patches, but then the greens keeper would put the holes in the worst kept spots on the whole green!?!? I’ve never seen something like it. A course that was worth $50 every time for the last 2-3 years has (out of nowhere) turned into the worst kept course in the area now. Shame! I can’t imagine how members must feel.
Greens are drying out, but still a very good course to play
Dried out
Barely any grass in fairways, hitting off hard pan most of the time. Greens are like concrete with burnt grass spots everywhere. I live in the community where the golf course is,it’s never been this bad. The only good thing is the course was fairly empty so we never waited.
Wait until it improves before playing.
Save your money
What a waste. Greens were horrible, dried out, little grass, and no way to stop your ball. Downhill putts almost impossible. Tee boxes were in poor condition and shots in the fairway were fortunate if they found grass. Save your money and golf elsewhere.
Not close to a $70 course
I always read the most recent reviews to make a determination where to play and it seems as though the last few reviews of great greens is greatly exaggerated.. The greens are baked and patchy. Some places are nothing but sand not smooth and fast was very disappointed.. I understand it’s not all their fault. Apparently they don’t have a source of water to sprinkle on the course but if they don’t get some rain soon, This course will be dead. Should be no more than 35 bucks to play here now.
