About
Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

Excellent but slow
17 min late to our play …. 4 some in front were very slow
No Marshall
Green speed is fast.
Very nice course. But beware about green speed specially from northern part, north of Ohio golfers.
Not kiddin. 5 times faster.
Even 10 ft putting, I was afraid to touch a ball.
Looks like ball stops but keep rolling and never stop, passed a hole, finally the ball stopped 10ft away again.
I got understand why PGA pro golfers had 4 , 5 puttings. It's fun. New experience.
St Johns CC
When you book this course make sure you
go to St Johns Golf and Country Club. Why ?
Because if you go to St Johns Golf Club you
are 23 miles away .
This course is in great shape for January. The greens
are quick 12+ stimp ?? Tees, are excellent, fairways are good, traps good. Overall, well worth the green fees.

Pace of play
Had a couple in front that were walking ith motorized carts and were not interested in letting anybody play thru. Kept getting notified we were numerous times by the gps that we were behind and that a Marshall would come out and talk to us. We did see one ride by but he never talked to us. He should have talk to the couple holding the test of the course up.

Course was in great condition for this time of year. We played Christmas Day. Blew right threw in 3 hrs and 15 min
Course review
Played on December 19 and the course was in great shape. Pace of play was extremely slow but the course was busy that day.
St. John’s Country Club
Beautiful course though it was cold and windy for this round. The greens are incredibly fast. A light touch was needed and even then, hard to keep it from traveling.

WOW.. We love it!
I rate pretty conservatively, but I am going to rate it as I saw/experience this course. I give 5 start rating for the entire experience at this lovely/challenging course. I can fill this review with plenty of compliments and still be not enough. From bag assistance (meeting us at parking lot), well informed/communicated starters, professsional/respectful pro shop staffers and restaurants were friendly and professionals at their best. Our foursome group felt we were playing at very high end course. On the contrary, the course was very reasonable priced. I would HIGHLY recommend St. John to all and to anyone... please behave and be respectful to staff & course. The course design and conditions were impeccably well manicured. I will definitely return for excellent golf and good food. I have no complaints... all were superbly good and I miss playing there already. Nice job to entire St John's team! See you guys real soon.
