Chestatee Golf Club

Fantastic course if you can get on with the GolfNow rates. Greens are slower than usual but in extraordinary shape. Course is ascetically pleasing as the rolling hills are very beautiful on a clear day. We were paired up with another father/son team and had a nice 4 hours on the course. Will look for other opportunities to play this course.

Always seems to be in great condition. A lot of elevation changes. The holes are interesting and provide some great challenges.

Have played here four times previously, but not in 2 years. The condition of the course has greatly improved...even though the greens had been aerated in past 10 days. Interesting design with creeks and ponds and hills throughout. Staff is courteous and helpful. Will play again soon.

Good course with some challenging holes. Elevation changes on course in general are moderate with a couple of challenging holes uphill. Hole number 16 is an interesting hole with the green uphill to the right off of the fairway. So you have two options to play the hole: one is a risk option where you can play shorter down the fairway but then your approach to the green is guarded by several bunkers, with the other option less risky but a longer approach shot down the fairway required.

Course has improved considerably. Some fairways and greens burned out (1 or 2) but overall holding up very well.

Greens were in good condition but the fairways had some choppy and grassless areas. I love this course and have played it many times. With their partnership with golfnow.com, I got a great deal on a weekend rate and would definitely recommend and play this course for another time.

Golf course is coming in nicely. Greens weren't fast (9.0 - 9.5 )but rolled great. The bunkers could use some sand but that's only real complaint. All around a good track in good shape

Beautiful, well maintained course.
This beautiful mountain course is a two edged sword. The mountains that create very scenic views create a very challenging course for first time visitors.

I played Chestatee for the first time sunday. I liked the course a lot, and played it because it is a Denis Griffith design. I am on a quest to play as many of his designs as possible. This course is 1 1/2 hours from home, but was worth the drive.

The clubhouse was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The cart girl came around several times, and the turkey sandwich tasted homemade.

I would have scored it much higher, but was a bit dismayed that the greens had been punched that week...the Golfnow reservation did not show that this had occurred. Never the less, the course was in excellent shape. Grass on the fairways, traps had sand, and greens ran relatively quickly despite the punching.

The Denis Griffiths design did not disappoint! Lots of elevation changes, yet not as extreme as mountain golf. Creeks running through fairways, lakes touching many greens, elevated greens surrounded by traps all make for a challenging round!

I will be returning!

Course needs attention. Worst I've seen it in years. Bunkers very inconsistent

A long drive but worth the trip!
The staff and even the ground crew are super friendly and professional.
The course took it's toll through the winter and spring rains. Maintenance crew have done the necessary work that will have this course in pristine condition by early summer for sure.
Great track to play and enjoy the scenic backdrop.

Unfortunately the greens were punched so I couldn't tell the speed of the greens. I was aware of the condition of the greens prior to playing. I would enjoy playing this course again later in the summer.

Greens were in good condition, but too many bare lies in the fairway. A lot of washed out areas. Hopefully the course will recover with better weather. It has been a rough winter. I'm sure it will. Tough for golf courses this year weather wise

The greens are very nice after being punched 4-6 weeks ago. The fairways are still 50% dormant, but in good condition. I really like the course layout and it is a good test.

Chestatee is in great shape, greens are around 11 fairway Bermuda is starting to green up. Hardly anyone out there on a beautiful Thursday PM. Very
interesting track and a very good value. People are
very nice and customer oriented.

Overall a great and difficult course. Wet conditions still prevail at this and mani other courses on north Georgia. Can't wait for the green to come back.

This is a must play golf course, the greens were punched two weeks ago, but they're in great shape. I've played out here about eight times and the greens have been great every time. I will definitely be back.

The greens had just been punched, so we're sandy, but still rolling well. I will return in April/May to see the spring colors and green fairways. Highly recommend, good value, great location.

I was pleasantly surprised that the course was in such good shape following the bad weather we had received.
Course has challenging holes, lots of elevation changes, greens rolled true.
Played on a weekday senior discount. Great value.
