Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Twice the same 9 makes the 18.
Twice the same 9 makes an 18 at this golf club.it should be said in the description.
Shame
This course has a nice layout and great potential to be a great trek in Central Florida… but it falls severely short. It is clear that the course needs some TLC and is not taken care of very well. The greens were long and rolled slow but were in decent shape. Being one of the first groups out, the pace of play was great for the first nine, but you can forget about playing around a second time for a full 18. After our first 9, the first tee box was backed up about 8 groups deep. In 35 minutes, only 2 groups teed off.
The staff were friendly enough but got the feeling as though you don’t belong if you’re under the age of 55. Poorly managed course with a lack of landscaping care makes it feel like a money grab and not worth actually spending your time or money at this course.
Swiss is a good value with.plenty of water and sand challenges. Main negative is it's only 9 holes.
Warm and humid. Slow greens
Greens roll pretty well but are a little on the slow side. Really miss the back nine. Having front niners coming thru to play their second nine pushed back our tee time a bit.
Little gem
This place is a little gem. Feels like family and those dogs in the clubhouse are adorable. A little disappointed it’s now a 9 hole course but still very good value.
Never again
Evidently they had me booked for a party of four, I am a single player.
Very rude lady in the pro shop, and to my very big surprise the 18 holes was first nine twice.
Met some very nice people and that’s about it.
Great value
Not the best course but great value for the money and ok playing the same nine holes from two different sets of tees.
Good for your value.
It’s too bad the course is only a nine hole course now. The back nine was great layout which made it a great golf day. Would be nice if they were to go back to a 18 hole course.
9 Hole Course
So, it is a 9-hole golf course that you can play twice for 18 holes. We had to stop play and wait about 30 mins and wait for the new players to start there round. Not ideal but we were out golfing. What can you say. The weather was perfect but if there was any bad weather coming there would have been a problem. I will try to play it again if I can. One weird thing is hole 2. You have to wait for water-skiers. Strange but true.
Only Nine?
I didn't know it was a nine hole course until after I paid. The Tee Off wab site shows it is an 18 hole course. Kind of disappointed
Overbooked
Play 9 holes twice. First 9 took 2 hours & 20 minutes. Then we came back to number 1 again at 2:50. We left at the 2nd tee at 3:45, and we were still waiting to tee off. They obviously had more players than was reasonable for timely play. The couple we were playing with us also quit before playing the 2nd hole for the second time.
3:15 to play 10 holes!
9-hole repeat
The course only has nine holes, but the layout is interesting enough to keep you engaged for both nines. I thoroughly enjoyed the layout with the par-3, fourth hole being one of the prettiest par-3's that I have ever played. For the price, the course conditions were good. Overall the greens were a little shaggy, but very playable. The fairways were thin, but also very playable. It was a wonderful day of golf and I definitely would return.
