Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Good value and offers wide range of tee boxes.
Course is improving all the time Greens especially have shown a marked improvement. Layout is interesting and makes use of all clubs. Par 3’s all challenging.
Nice Community Course
I have played the Swiss Fairways a number of times and have never been disappointed with the staff or the course. The grounds are always well kept and play is rather fast for such a well played course. You have to give it a try if you enjoy playing different courses.
Improved
It has been a few years since I last played Swiss Fairways. There is an obvious improvement over what once was. If the Superintendent maintains the trajectory of the course conditions, Swiss will be a gem.
Terrible conditions
First time, and last time I will be playing this course. Sadly everything from the tee boxes to the greens are in deplorable conditions. Tee boxes are over grown, rough is a nix of grass, fescue and weeds. Approach has large bare spots, and the greens sadly are 1/3 dead. Hopefully they can do something to get this course back into some form of a shape.
Typical summer day
Tarzan Hot! Played here with my nephew and was paired up with another twosome. One guy was supposedly teaching the other, a long hot round leads to a very long hot day.
Tee boxes were in good shape, fairways were cut, but if you go into the rough, jus5 drop a ball and play “winter rules”. Greens were not too fast. Traps were well maintained.
It’s a fun course trying to avoid the water skiers! I guess that adds an extra distraction. LOL
Will play here again, nice fun layout. Typical central Florida course.
Rain and Thunder storm
I did not play for this morning due to thunder storm and raining, I booked thru Golf Now and the club house guy said Golf Now will call him and he will let Golf Now know that I did not play, and I still wait for my refund.
COVID-19 not taken seriously
Swiss Fairways Prefers profit over social distancing practices. Management gets angry when golfers ask to ride in separate carts. My group was verbally attacked on multiple occasions because of our desire to stay healthy from COVID-19. No masks worn by staff in the pro shop! I guess the thousands of deaths in America and Florida are a hoax to them.
Golf now did it eork
I paid on golf now and when I got there I had to pay again to play. And golf now did it give me a refund . Not good
Much better improved
Course much better conditions there’s improving a lot green fairways etc great job!!!
Course is a lot better than it used to be
This course has improved in a lot of areas, the liability situation for the skiers/boaters is unfair in my opinion to the golfers though.
Nasty staff.
while playing with some other players who booked on golfnow.com, we were approached by a guy cutting grass who began shouting at us for having separate carts, and when we seemed to be the only people on the golf course. I received my cart as a single golfer, and was paired with two other guys that were booked at the same time as me, the guy cutting the fairway who has no medical knowledge and is not a doctor said he didn't see anyone with medical problems, and in his opinion we should not be practicing social distancing, and he's losing money from customers who want their own cart. Each person booked their round on golfnow.com and paid for golf with cart, and if these golf clubs feel like they lose money from social distancing, then they should not be open for business because i will not ride with someone I don't know, and who may be infected with covid 19. The guy cutting grass says that he's the owner of the course, and he feels like he's can see if people are infected by the way they look. When asked if he's a doctor or medical person, he responded NO! but he could tell by looking at us as we were playing. I will not be playing there anymore, and I'm telling all of my friends not to play at Swiss Fairways anymore.
How are the fairways - last time playing there, they weren't that good. Patchy.
