Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Played my fifth round in two months this morning. I enjoy this course. It has some interesting holes. Today the gold tees were placed a bit further back than my last rounds do it was like playing a different course on some holes.
The course has dried a bit and is less dpongy in some fairways. The greens were in pretty good shape. Some of the tee boxes are rough but mostly level.
Will play again. Had a nice day with two players that were pleasant to play with.
Great value
Overall a great experience. Nice course. Tough holes, and scenic. Clean carts, and nice friendly staff!
Third time here in two weeks.
Playing several rounds allows one to become familiar with the layout and improve scores.
Good value and ok conditions. Some high tough and a few greens had bare or rough spots.
Pace of play was terrific as two groups allowed me as a single to play through. Finished in under 2 1/2 hours today.
First time playing. Only front nine open today. Played twice. Greens got a bit faster as they dried out later in the round. High rough. Played with a local guy. He was helpful describing the course as we progressed. Would play here again. Hoping that I can experience the full 18 next trip.
Simply a Nice Course
This course is a great course to play many challenging holes, friendly staff and a great overall golf experience! Definitely worth checking out when you can!
Swiss Fairways
Disappointed in course conditions. Last played it in January and the course was in great shape. Now, bunkers were terrible, fairways were full of bare spots or thin grass, tee boxes were in poor shape with many uncut and felt like hitting out of the rough, greens were slow and fringe was grassy or in poor condition.
Poor
Maybe the worst course I’ve played. The greens were actually in good shape. There were no fairways. No grass. You just hit it in a field of weeds and mud. It was sometimes better to hit into the rough. The tee boxes were horrible. Overgrown with weeds. I got lost trying to go from hole to hole. Not any signs. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful. I would not recommend
Terrible
Don’t waste your time and money. The course is trash no grass on tee boxes fairways are dead no grass. When we asked about the condition the owner threw a fit and called us every name in the book.
Terrible
The course was burnt up dirt tee boxes. Three guys ahead of us had one set of clubs. After 9 holes we quit and asked why it was in such bad shape the fat owner told us to get off his property and don’return. Absolutely don’t play this course dump. The owner was screaming at us threatening physical harm
Terrible Condition
This is the worst I have seen this course. Greens OK but fairways and tee boxes terrible. No notice they were Killing / renovating the fairways and tees. It’ll be awhile before we go back.
This is not a 4 Star course
The fairways were so thick that I lost multiple balls just from not being able to find them. I probably spent more time looking for balls than actually playing. Then hitting out of thick fairways just made it more difficult to play. But the best part of the course though was the greens.
Nice course.
Fairways could use some grass.Tee boxes some were ok others need some grass . Greens were nice and smooth.long distance from green to tee box on some holes.
Rough Shape Except for Greens
The tee boxes and fairways were in really rough shape, mostly crab grass and weeds. Greens were actually in pretty good shape, even though they had just been aerated.
Too much went wrong , first show up for tee time after calling 2 days ahead to ask about aerification, to be told sure come play we know how to do it, To be told you can only play the back nine twice , would have been nice to tell us that before booking, a 45 min rain delay hampers our round only to have a greens keeper accuse us of 'you must be board out here just driving around playing as much as you like ...this was at 230 pm on a 1110 am tee time, after a 45min to 1hr rain delay?? If you wanted to close the course for the day just close it and refund my tee time !!! Extremely Disappointed!!! Will not be back !!!!!
Love The Course
Shot an 84 from the Blue Tees which is a good game for me.
I contribute it to the very forgiving course. Well maintained and always priced right on GN. Will definitely be back.
Golfer, beware of 4 Star Rating for this course!
I have played this course before, it was OK all along but this last time on 5/16/2020, the money I spent to play and all the tolls and the mileage I put on my car was just not worth our time (we were a foursome and drove from Orlando).
I was convinced that 4 star rating must be given by local players to lure people to the course so it stays in business for them! Folks, tee boxes are in terrible condition, all sand-no grass. There are no fairways but grazing lands for cows and sheep to eat weeds. Worst yet, the greens must be sick because there are patches of dead areas and the rest is just one large bumpy land for the golf balls to get airborne, literally.
This course is only 1-star and I bet you it will remain that way for me unless the management actually spends money on recovery efforts to turn back this once a good, challenging course to its original status.
I agree with you 100%
That's how it was the last time we played there - 2019...how can they charge $33!!
