Inspired by the backdrop of the Manatee River, Ted McAnlis has created the ultimate golf experience with the perfect combination of beauty and challenge. Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. From a lazy start on the par-5 first hole to the big finish on the 18th hole island green, golfers love Waterlefe Golf & River Club!

Fantastic Experience
This review would probably be 5 stars straight across if they haven't had so much rain lately. Most holes you don't need to hit a driver and if you do if it's not straight it will probably get in trouble.

What a beauty
Very friendly staff in all areas of the course.
This is a very nice layout with lots of room in landing areas. A bit tighter on the back requiring a thoughtful club selection from the tee box.
The greens had been top dressed but had little impact on putts. They held very well and ran true.
A real pleasure to play. I’ll be back.

Beautiful, lots of water
Track layout is fun and challenging. Played after TS Nicole, lots of wet fairways which required cart path only on a majority of holes. Greens rolled good.

one of my favorite courses in this area
a challenging course, not easy to play, wasn't one my best days I had, but the course was in very good shape.
The staff at the pro shop was not as friendly as I am used to be ... during the last years we played waterlefe.it was much better.

First time playing the course
Lots of carries over water or swamp. Luckily we played with a couple that had played before. We would have lost 2 dozen balls rather than the dozen we did loss.
