Inspired by the backdrop of the Manatee River, Ted McAnlis has created the ultimate golf experience with the perfect combination of beauty and challenge. Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. From a lazy start on the par-5 first hole to the big finish on the 18th hole island green, golfers love Waterlefe Golf & River Club!

Great course in perfect condition
Highly recommended this course. Good value this time of year. Greens, fairways, tee boxes are all in excellent condition
Be sure to play the correct tees according to your handicap. Lots of water. Sand traps are perfect.

WATERLEFE REVIEW
Course is in very good shape. Fairways are not as good as they were in Feb but overall this course may be in the best shape of any course in Bradenton, FL.
Course is challenging with water but layout is great. People are very accommodating and friendly.
Would recommend it to all.

Bring extra ammo!
Course was in great shape and lots of challenging shots. The practice range is a lake so you get used to the sound of your ball splashing!! Great track and will definitely be back.

New Leaf at Waterlefe
After substantial pre-round review, I promptly hit what I thought was a good first tee shot into the water hazard to the right. The course was fabulous and i Iook forward to a 2nd crack at it, and the opportunity to reduce the number of shots into penalty areas.

Best course in Bradenton/Sarasota
Fairways excellent, greens showing signs of excessive play but still quick and true. Some teeing areas also showing signs of excessive wear. Still a great course to play and we'll come every time we're here from the UK

Waterlefe tee boxes
I like the layout at Waterlefe and had a nice front nine 37 and putted well all day on very nice greens. The fairways were generally very nice as well and I had no excuses for missing so many greens on the back nine. The tee boxes were often very rough and several were just dirt with next to zero grass so they need some attention.
It was 4.5 hours as we often waited on group ahead and had group behind us waiting too. Still a fun day out on a nice challenging course with nice quick greens.
I recommend it to golfers wanting a challenge and enjoying nice quick but true greens.

Great layout , bring a lot of golf balls
Great course in good shape . It could use a little more grass on the tees and some trimming in areas but overall a great course and lay out . Greens were rolling well and pace was good so we can’t complain. Love the course and will come back for sure .
