About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Decent course, but overpriced
The overall quality of the course is reasonable. I actually saw an alligator next to a sand trap. The course does not have a restaurant, but the cart girl does sell hotdogs. This seems peculiar, and they don't tell you beforehand so you can bring a sandwich. For what you get, I think it is overpriced. Given its proximity to West Palm Beach, it likely will continue to attract a crowd.

Excellent course.
Played it twice and enjoyed it very much. Wide fairways and the greens ran true. Sand traps had good sand to hit out from. Drove 40 minutes to play when I could have played a dozen courses closer to where I was staying.

Well worth the price of admission
The course is in excellent condition from tees to greens. Played here the last 2 weeks and was very impressed. Played both rounds in less than 4 hours. Course has plenty of water but very playable layout. Will return more often.

Beautiful fun course
Arrived and immediately greeted. Staff is very nice and friendly. Checked in easily, grabbed a small bucket and hit the range. Range is in in great shape and conveniently located right in front of the bag drop. Checked in with starter and hit the course. Tee boxes. Fairways, rough and greens all in perfect condition. Very scoreabale course. Not to hard and right in front of you. Nothing hidden and no surprises. Tough windy conditions but breeze felt good so not a problem. GPS on carts is a plus. All in all a beautiful course and reasonably priced especially with the Hot Deal. Will 100% play again just sure when. If you're thinking of playing it and aren't sure I highly recommend you do. A+++++
