Miami Springs Golf & Country Club
About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

Could be somewhat better.
Course layout was great, especially the greens. Grass was a bit high on the sides, waking it difficult to find the balls. First, restaurant was closed when we started, with a sign saying they'll open at 4 pm. Then restaurant was closed when we finished at 5 pm for a board meeting.
Tee boxes and fairways are terrible, greens are very good.
I’ve been playing this course for years because it’s close to my home and not expensive. This past Sunday 5/18/25, I found it in particularly bad shape, though. The fairways have lots of dead spots with dirt and lots of weeds. I rarely got a good lie in the fairway and continuously had to move my ball to find a decent patch of clean grass. The tee boxes are particularly destroyed and uneven. It’s hard to find a decent stance to hit from. It’s sad. The greens however are in very good condition. Surprisingly good!
New Miami Springs
Course in good shape, greens all in very good conditions.
Great municipal course
Really enjoyed my round at Miami Springs. Overall course is pretty good, the recently renovated greens are in great shape and has some challenging ululations on each one. One thing that stood out to me was the challenge of each part three. Two par threes are over 200 yards each and one is a shorter one at about 140 yards with a significantly raised green from the tee box. Some of the tees
could use some work and along with some of the fairways. However, that did not take away from the overall experience of the course. It’s pretty neat to play a place that used to host a professional tournament for over 30 years between 1925 to 1955. if you’re in the Miami area and are looking to have a good public golf course experience go play Miami Springs.
Decent but not great course for the money
A somewhat premium golf course based upon price and amenities but the course itself is average at best. The fairways are not in great shape. The greens are a bit better, in good, but not great shape. The layout is good but the course is not particularly challenging, except for the approach shot on the greens. The greens are elevated and rock hard, making it challenging to land your ball on the greens and have it stick from a distance, especially for the average player. When I played, 3-4 of the longer fairways were blocked from carts, although the course wasn’t wet. I’m not sure why, except that they were not in great shape. There are better courses available in this price range.
Needs work
Love the greens best part of the chorus fairways need repair not in good shape and there’s no measurement in terms of distance. Everyone doesn’t have a distance finder. I don’t so it was difficult with the distance no markers no designated distant signage made it difficult.
Not in good shape
Greens are just ok. Fairways (if you can call them that way) terrible. Tees not close to good.
Awful Fairways
Some fairways were roped off and most of them were in really bad shape. Greens were good.
One of my favorite courses
We got stuck behind a very slow group, and turned into a very long 5!hour round.
The greens were in good shape and several fairways were
under repair - that shows they’re trying to keep up with course conditions.
Still think that it cost too much for this golf course but we’re running low on options.
Course looks abandoned
Over 20 rounds played, and every time it gets worse.
MS had done a great job with the renovation, only to completely ignore proper course upkeep. Fairways and tee boxes have turned into sand pits. Sad, given that the course has a great layout and location. Hope they turn it around
Good course layout / conditions very average
Love the layout, Played here after it reopened from renovation - unfortunately, it seems to have taken a step back in course conditions now. Not sure if this is just because everyone showed up to play after the Reno but the fairways and some tee boxes need help. Greens are good but slower
Miami Springs going down hill.
The Miami Springs course improved the farways and greens last year. They were much improved. This year many of the farways are in bad shape. Tee boxes are terrible. Greens are in pretty good shape. They charged $20 to $60 more than they did last year. for 18 holes. .
I think they need a new ground keeper and ground staff.
The course has a nice layout.
Hope it doesn't go down hill more .
.
Awful Condition
It’s a shame this course is in awful shape. The fairways have weeds everywhere and no grass at all on most of the back 9 fairways. Greens were ok but Tee Boxes are awful. This course is totally abandoned. Will not play this again.
