About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

Pace of play
Pace of play was terrible. Tee boxes are sand instead of grass.

A Hot Deal in January at a busy Miami-Dade course usually means there is a catch, and in this case, it was greens that undergone recent topdressing with sand. Most greens sported grainy patches, while tee boxes and fairways were fairly chewed up. Still the paltry number of players on the course made for a pleasantly rapid round. Bunkers were firm. No cart service and no GPS, but pro shop staff was friendly and competent. Snack bar provided efficient beverage service, as well.
The course should play better as the weather warms up....

Mediocre at best
This was the first time I played this course, as it was a last minute reservation. Right out of the gate when I asked if there were others in my foursome I was told, “yes, but only one checked in and he/she went out alone”. Not sure what point of a foursome is if “most people go out on their own”. Fortunately I ended up playing with two others who gave me the lay of the land. Could was okay, tee boxes were destroyed in most places and where these was grass, you were standing on a slope and the greens were sandy and slow.
On the flip side, this was perfect for my first swings in 3-4 months.

Our first time
Very nice course. Well maintained. The greens were a little slow due to sand on the greens. Food was good at the turn. We would certainly play again. Almost no water on the course to deal with which is unusual in the area.

Great value, fun course
This course is probably the best value you can get in and around Miami. It’s not the nicest but the greens are in great shape and everything else is good as well.
It is lacking some water features to make it a little more interesting but I would recommend this course.

A must play will test all your skills par 3's are interesting and long great course layout table top greens .
