Miami Springs Golf & Country Club
About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

Good course for practice
It's not a difficult course. Not many places for you to make a deadly mistake; even if you do, most likely you can still recover your ball. Conditions are OK. It's a good place to practice your golf skills. I would recommend playing this course for less than $33.
OLDIE but GOLDIE
Of course being around since 1922, one might expect a few items to possibly be a little long in the tooth. But you can see they are still keeping the course a viable entertainment value. It isn't really all that incredible or even special but nicely maintained(very important at all times but especially during pandemic-mostly level tee boxes, medium speed greens well maintained, bunkers in excellent shape, nice fairways and very playable "rough") and as moderately challenging as you want-move up or back on the tee boxes introduces distance and doglegs. Overall a pleasant experience.
Leave the short irons at home
This course's defense is distance. Several par 4's well over 400, and a 225 yd. par 3.

Challenging old design.
This is one of the original courses of Miami, well designed that still stands as a good and challenging test of accuracy and distance control.
Great affordable course in miami
Have played the course about ten times now. Excellent value as the green fees are very affordable for a nicely designed and well maintained course. Staff is very friendly. Difficulty is average, a little bit tougher on the back 9. Nothing not to like about this place!
Tropical Storm conditions
It was a blast! 45 mph winds.
175 yard drives. Followed by 300 yard drives.
Hey msuman! We appreciate the 4 stars and we're sorry about the wind!

A golf pro doesn't manage this course
There are no raised tee markers to indicate where to tee off. The tees were painted blue, white and yellow probably months ago but they are very very difficult to find for anyone on the course for the first time. Every hole presented an unecessary waste of time to find the tee and then select a club. Another unecessary issue are the cups, which are raised, which means the ball is considered holed if it hits the raised metal cup. I hit a hot thin shot across the green which hit the raised cup and traveled panother 5 yds. I counted it as holed but it would have never dropped in the cup. Someone who plays golf should manage this course.

Not worth it
Was almost 4 PM and the new gal in proshop wants to charge us 60 dollars each to play twilight. We're senior citizens that live in Miami Springs and we the residents purchased this golf course from the the City of Miami. Now they have some clown running it wanting to charge outrageous price to play this course. Ridiculous!
