About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

Disappointing
Full disclaimer - I didn't have high expectations going in. I've been to Miami Springs before and am happy to enjoy it for what it is. So for more to be disappointed with my time there was quite a feat. I'll try to be brief.
Pace of play was bad. A 3some took more than 4 hours with nobody in front of them. Slow groups happen, but no oversight from the club to keep up pace is disapppointing.
No cart service at noon on a Saturday on a 95 degree day. No good.
This next gripe isn't about the course per se, but reflects on the lack of supervision on the course. Apparently picking your feet up when you walk on the greens is frowned upon. People had drug their feet all over the greens. It was horrible.

A great place to play golf
I enjoy and have always enjoyed Miami Springs Golf and Country Club. The course is in very good shape, there are some challenging water holes on the back nine, the greens are in good shape, although it appears they have been aerated not too long ago, but that's what keeps a golf course in good condition. MORE SIGNAGE IS NEEDED TO DIRECT GOLFERS TO THE NEXT HOLE, PARTICULARLY FROM 15 TO 16. The receptionist at the pro shop wasn't bubbling with enthusiasm.

The Springs, Springs Forward
On another glorious South Florida morning, my buddy and I blitzed through 18 pleasant holes on this grand, 94 year-old track whose speedy fairways, tidy tee boxes and mildly fluffy bunkers were in good, but not spectacular, shape. The rough was gnarly in spots, providing a stout test for iron play. While the recently-aerated greens were gorgeously full and usually rolled true, they remained very slow for this course. A few more weeks of humid, and perhaps, wet weather and MS should be in overall solid shape. There was no adult beverage cart service on the course and no GPS. Amiable pro shop staffer and starter were efficient. There was no one to cleans our clubs after the round. Priceworthy for $25 or less....

Greens are now recovering from aerating. Should be perfect in 2 weeks. Good Fairways

Fun place to play!
Fun layout. Relatively easy to score. Greens and fairways are always in good shape. Love this place. Highly recommend if you’re trying to play for a low price. Quality

Pleasantly surprised
It has been several years since I last played this course. Back then, the greens were not in good shape, fairways and tee box could use some TLC.
It was a pleasant surprise to see the greens were in good shape (some of them continue to be quite small for some of us shooting north of 90... but oñthe overall experience was excellent.
The bar staff was very friendly and accommodating in making a bucket of refreshments available to enjoy during the round. I will definitely come back more often. You can see the management is investing in equipment from golf carts to groundskeeping equipment, and it shows.

Greens in great condition

A Very Good Practice Course
An old Florida course with smooth but slow greens. Unlike other Florida courses, this one doesn't have water hazards. With minimum hazards, it's a very good course to practice your long and short games. A lot of holes have doglegs and some greens are small which are difficult to hold approach shots.

Historic Golf Course
If you love golf history, and the thought of gracing the same fairways as Sam Snead, Gene Sarazan and Byron Nelson once did, then this is the spot.
Great shot making required on this traditional layout, that will challenge any level of player.

Reliably Fun Challenge
Grass and greens are in decent shape; summer greening is evident.
Greens are tough to hold approach shots when the winds dry them out. But they roll nicely.
