Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

Tough day
This course is short but extremely tight. Very hard to play. Particularly when you don’t know it.
Needs some work
This has been an issue with this course for a few years now, fairways aren't good, but greens are kept well and pretty difficult to read. Lots of changes in direction, and change in slopes.
Course amenities are pretty much non existent, no bag guys present, no rangers, small little snack bar. If you can get the HOT DEAL, it's worth the price, if not, way to much for this course. Hopefully rumor of them closing and building there aren't true, and they put some money into fairways.

Cheap but challenging. Greens are in good condition. Super laid back and always a good time.

Challenging golf course
Always professional & friendly staff, fun day of golf as always very challenging. Greens a little slow today cause of wet conditions . Pace of play very good. Best price in Palm Beach County with the lowest green fee price. Golf course layout is tight but fair , for all types of golfers for you to challenge the course. Enjoy & have fun.
Season
Typically, with higher rates in affect, the course should be in the best shape it can be. That’s not the case right now. I played Forest Oaks numerous times over the summer and the course was in better shape then than it is today. Extremely sandy tee boxes with some greens being more “rough” than others (Pardon the pun).
Today is also, oddly enough, the pace wasn’t terrible. I had basically nobody in front of us and as we left, it looks like one group was on 1’s green, one was in the fairway, one was on the tee, and another behind the tee waiting. It gets VERY slow here so be cautious.
Fun day
This was a perfect place to play and enjoy my day. Priced right.
Short, but tricky!
The course is barely 5,900 yards, but has a some tricky holes. The fairways are somewhat narrow. There are a fair number of water hazards, sometime both right and left.
The greens were slow, but in very good shape. Too bad the fairways and tee boxes were a little less cared for. Still a fun round overall.
Terrible Course for the price
The price for the course is a complete rip off. The tee boxes and fairways are not in good condition, the carts aren't good at all and the guy in charge of the carts had no idea what he was doing. I wouldn't pay any more than 10 or 15 for this course.
Horrible condition from tees to green
I was embarrassed to invite friends to play and actually paid $40/ round. My first and last time.
