Forest Oaks Golf Club
About
Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

Tidy little course
Enjoyed the wildlife as we made our way around this reasonably easy course. Greens in great shape and plenty of good roll on the fareways.
Nothing Special
Forest Oaks seems like an older course that has never been upgraded. The "clubhouse" is very dark, with just a snack bar that doubles as a Pro Shop, with very little to offer beyond golf balls. There had been a lot of rain the night before my round and some that continued into the morning the day I played, but the course apparently drains well and was relatively dry. The price I paid was average, but the course was slightly less than that.
Delightful and fun challenge.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We were running a little late so grabbed a breakfast sandwich at the shop. Glad we did it is was delicious. Great value, not a bombers course. Tight and accurate plays well here. 4 iron got a lot of play.
We booked it again.
Nice day,nice round
I had'nt played the course in a few years and wanted to try it again..I was pleasantly surprised to find little change to the course or staff. We were paired with two men of our ability and had an enjoyable round.
Nice course
Course was in good condition
Staff was very professional
Thin fairways on back nine
Fun, Challenging Course
My wife and I matched up with a Canadian couple and enjoyed a nice round of golf. Course was challenging, but fair. Tees and greens were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nice course, nice shape, nice people.
Had a very good round with really nice people I was matched up with . The course was in great condition: greens, bunkers, and fairways. Moderately challenging due to some fairly tight holes (that's a good thing). Pace was great for this time of year and staff were super.
Short course and challenging; some of the holes are very tight n narrow. No need driver for this course. All greens are in good condition
Nasty looking ponds!
Hard pan on many fairways on the front 9. It’s not winter dry season in FL yet!
Greens rolled true. Got real slow in the afternoon.
Front nine real ugly. Back nine a different story.
Not worth the drive from north Palm beach.
Oh, narrow fairways
claustrophobic and hazardous
Putting a golf course in and around a condo hoa is common but there really needs to be some breathing room in the layout.
This course offers a very narrow corridor of play with considerable risk of hitting cars or windows on almost every hole with one right along a major heavy traffic road with no ball barrier.
The clubhouse is quaint, low intensity lighting, 1 TV, and a minor food and drink bar and patio.
No driving range, and a 10 yard putting green.
Golf carts are propane and fast enough for most.
Greens and fairways were ok, not as horrible as with the WPB public course, but felt and looked needy.
