Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

The green are very nice and vey fast
Yes the green are very nice but the fairway are dry and the rough are very bad and sometime it's impossible to hit a good shut . The club have a lot of work to do on all tee off and around the sand bunker.
I will waiting a year before a return at this golf club.
Greens are small and fairways are narrow. Greens needed to be cut and rolled.
The hardest 5400 yard course you will every play!
The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly when it came time to tee off. Fairways are very narrow on many holes, but the course layout was great. We had a great time!
The course is in very good shape. The course has been over seeded on both the tee blocks and greens. The fairways are well defined and well manicured. The greens are receptive and true rolling.
Great course
Good value for the money. In fairly good shape.
Pace of play was very good. Staff is very friendly.
Course has improved
Have not been back for 8 months the course looks great. Greens were excellent fairways look good. Many improvements they re-did 8 tee boxes. They owners of the place are such nice guys love to see them doing well. This is my favorite golf course in Palm Beach county recommend it to all golfers.
Don't go
It's run down,indifferent staff and lousy conditions.
Hallways
This course is shorter and is all hallways. Greens are in good shape and play true. Fairways are OK, some tee boxes were under repair. If you can shape your shots there are lots of scoring opportunities. For the weekend bogey golfer this course will be a fun challenge, make sure you have extra balls with you. For single digit handicaps, shaping shots presents lots of opportunities. Long ball doesn't play well here. A nicely placed hybrid or long iron is all you really need. Lots of short par 4's. 5's are really scorable. Greens are small but soft and are mostly protected in one way or another. Fun little track, great bang for your buck. Finished 18 in 3 hours flat.
Needs upgrade
Played this course numerous times, and although the price was good, they just aren't taking care of the course properly, fairways are hard, and need to be watered
Challenging
Lots of improvement on this course. Professional & friendly staff, Very challenging & fun course to play & the rates are the best in Palm Beach county. I recommend this course to low & high handicap players. Two thumbs up!!
Want to explore more
My only complaint is that when I was asked if I had a rewards card and I said no - they didn’t offer me any information about it. Given some of the signage and facilities- it looks like a fun place to re-visit
Their was some standing water, but the place is maintained well by all accounts with excellent facilities.
The greens were great. The layout was excellent . I will be back under drier conditions.
I am new to area and have been trying various courses - this was one of my favorites- I never write a review, but was compelled to do so
