Los Verdes Golf Course

I’ve played this course twice before and had good times, the layout, views, and greens are all usually great. However, today they put a group of 4 before us 5 minutes apart from our time randomly at the last minute. The starter says they do it random throughout the day to make more money…even though it negatively affects the experience for the four groups after. So we ended up teeing off 15 min later and our round ended up being 5.5 hours and almost didn’t finish with a 1:40pm tee off. Pretty greedy and ridiculous to do this to us and the groups behind us just to make another $100-$200: we had to wait on every single shot and some holes got backed up three groups to tee off. Terrible experience

I made a reservation for the latest time slot, 6:40 PM, because I mistakenly thought the tea time was in the morning. I tried to cancel it right away, but it didn't work out, so I couldn't go and play, and I lost about $80. Is there any compensation for that?

I’ve never seen this course in this bad of condition. It reminds me of Victoria when things got really bad there. There are huge areas in the fairways with no grass. Just dirt off of the fairways.

The greens are in good shape but full of ball marks. FIX YOUR BALL MARKS PEOPLE!

Pace is well over 5 1/2 hours. Just too painful. There are too many beginners who can’t handle this course playing here. And they are all grinding out 2 foot putts.

There was a mother with her autistic child a couple of groups behind. He was screaming and yelling the whole time. I sympathize with her but we can hear him the whole round making noise, basically nonstop.

I’m probably not coming back anytime soon.

This is my home course, I love the design, the brilliant landscaping and the friendly hole design.

Front 9 fairways have NO GRASS. They are BARREN, verging on dead, almost just DIRT. They are not watering the place at all. Why? Dunno.

Back 9 fairways are barely passable, on a couple holes. Barely. Almost the same though.

And the rough down the sides are the same as ever - DIRT.

Greens are the worst they’ve ever been. Slow, not cut, shaggy, jagged, not rolled. The place used to be known for quick, slick, smooth greens - what happened?

Don’t waste your money.

They might as well build houses here. It’s ready for that.

First time playing at Los Verdes Golf Course and super happy! Great public course with ocean view. Challenging greens and good maintenance fairways. Will definitely be one of my regular course to play from now on!

The views are stellar. The greens were well kept but hard to read. The fairway conditions were pretty lackluster. Think, Alondra, or any average muni course. But the slopes coupled with poor conditions made this course a lot more difficult. Stripe a drive onto to middle of the fairway but you have a below your feet lie on patchy grass in a divot and you skull your next shot. If you're into that, this is your course. This pic is the middle of the fairway on 16.

Absolutely no way anyone ever finishes in less than 5 hours. More like a 6-6.5 hour round with zero enforcement or care to space out tee times. Beautiful course just not worth spending 6 hours with waits on every hole.

Earlier Tee times are best. But you can get a solid 9 if you start at twilight.

The course could be maintain better for the view they have.

First Time.. Course was Challenging. Played on dirt most of the day. If you missed the fairway hard to find the golf ball. It just rolls out of bounds, Greens were very nice.
