Golf Club At South Hampton

Winter has not been friendly to the greens. Everything was well done except the rough conditions on the greens. I think I might return later in the spring after growing season has some time to fill in greens. I still enjoy the course.

This course still looks like crap...has been for quite some time. On the plus side, the pace of play is much faster since there aren't many golfers wasting their money here.

South Hampton has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, they are not tapping into it. To be clear, I am not a "course snob". I will play on a cow pasture. But don't charge me $65+ to play on a course that isn't much better condition than a cow pasture. Greens here are in pretty rough shape. I played here almost two years ago and it was bad then. I thought I'd give it another shot to see if they had improved but they have not. No coolers on the carts but for some reason, two buckets full of sand. Who is using that much sand?? I won't be returning to this course.

Absolutely no communication from staff that tee times were 45 minutes behind and that we would therefore not be able to finish the round. Such slow play and never saw a course marshal. The greens were a mess. Won’t ever play this course again.

The greens are in terrible condition! I played here a couple of weeks ago and they were much better. Not sure what happened since, but they should not be charging top price for the condition it's in now. Also the day I played it was backed up. My tee time was 12:06, finally teed off at 12:55!! Will not be going back for a while!

South Hampton has really gone downhill over past 6 mos. Greens are patchy & irregular. Fairways are bare and many areas just dirt. This used to be a very good course with reasonable prices, but now prices are 50%+ higher & course conditions are very poor. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The greens are aweful. Charged full price and greens were in terrible condition. $82 to play course with terrible greens. The practice green is patches of green put together. Several courses in much better shape for this price or less. Don't waste your money, go to another course.

It was a great course for the rate of the Hot Deal. I wouldn't pay full price to play here, but will definitely keep an eye out for another Hot Deal.

Greens were patchy & uneven, fairways were basically dirt/ sand. Can’t believe how far the quality has fallen at South Hampton. Used to be good value to play, but they raised their prices( mid $60s to pkay now) & course conditions are pitiful. DO NOT waste your money on this course. Cimarrone( across the street) far better course conditions at comparable prices.

Course was in pretty good condition. Place of play was great and it was very cold no sun and wind.

The condition of the golf course was good, It’s pretty well taken care off. And I do like the layout. But the staff and feel of the amenities has no personality. The golf cart attendant, starter, and club house person clearly didn’t want to be there. The bar staff had no personality, basically had a blank stare, And they didn’t have enough inventory to make drinks or provide food as we were told they ran out.

The Greens were not in the best condition

There was a brown substance on the greens that was very difficult to get off the ball and putter but especially your hands

It's been a while since I played here last. I wasn't disappointed after hearing the course was not in good conditions a few months back. To my surprise and excitement, it was just as good as you'd expect this time of year in north east Florida. The Greens were good on most of the holes, and definitely need a bit more growth, however, they were true and slightly faster than the average 8 - 9 you expect from a public course. I've played at SH many, many times over the years, and I just love the layout and challenges it offers.
