The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Got a great deal thru golf now. Fairways are ok, greens marginal bunkers need work…some still have water, rough is too high and thick…spent a lot of time looking for balls in the rough. Difficult to hit out of it. Give it a 6 out of 10

Nice layout

Greens were some of the worse ive ever played. The The rough was too long. Could lose your ball one foot out of fairway.

course struggling with weeds

Nice layout, interesting, but the course has been impacted by what some call crows foot or nut grass. they need a massive campaign of roundup spotting or it will get even worse. its a shame cause the course is/was a great place to play

We are doing our best to keep everyone up to date on the club Facebook page with regard to the current course conditions as well as this forum.

Next week when we do our update we will also post pictures of the fairways and roughs as the comments here about weeds etc just are not the case.

We know of an individual out there who is spreading false information about the club through different channels of social media forums. This is the reason we are continuing to post club updates and are as upfront as we can be. This individual has no affiliation with the club nor has been on property in several months.

Be ready for a challenge

The course was prepped and ready! If your ball goes 6” off the fairway into the fluffy stuff good luck finding it. Greens are still in repair mode but getting better daily. Great round! Super fun.

Greens and mostly unplayable and for what they are charging is ridiculous! It’s almost pathetic the staff is giving themselves 4 and 5 star reviews on here and giving a course update.

Bad all around

Staff is rude and acts like you’re bothering them, the greens have literal patches of fairway in them LOL.

Management has been leaving themselves 5 star reviews in hopes to bury the bad reviews. Don’t believe the pics they post, the course is worse than blue sky.
