The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

The course is going down hill in bad shape

I have been play this course for over 10 years it is in bad shape greens are a joke way over prices will be going to St.Johns golf in country club better they do a better job of taking care of the course

Hot but Windy

Took an afternoon tee time with hot temps expected, but the very windy conditions kept us reasonably cool. Had a friend from out of town join me at SH and we had a great time. Course was in pretty good shape considering our almost drought situation. Greens were a little spotty, fairways and sand traps were great. Tee boxes had plenty of grass. Staff was friendly at check-in and at the turn. Saw some deer on 9 fairway. All in all, it was a great afternoon at SH.

Terrible Greens

Greens were horrible and hadn’t been punched. Greens 1 out 5 stars. 1 star for the effort of spraying them green. Rest of the course was nice though. Couldn’t believe such high ratings from which the greens were so poor. Played with a regular and said that’s how they normally are.
