About
Opened in 1922, Mayfair Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida and it's still the only course in the historic city of Sanford. Over the years, it has hosted a number of famous players including Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer. The layout is wide open with a traditional design that is player friendly enough to appeal to novices and experienced golfers alike. Like most older course designs, the fairways are wide but the approaches aren't very forgiving. Water hazards come into play on over half of the holes and you might be surprised by a few subtle but tricky elevation changes. Mayfair Country Club is not a formidable test by any means, but there are a few challenging holes that will make you think.

Great golf course
We always enjoy playing Maifair, somewhat challenging and fun

Mayfair CC is a pretty course with a rich historical background. Fun to play and great staff.
New and Improved new Mayfair
City or Sanford has made significant investment into upgrading the legendary Golf course.. it’s exciting to see what’s been done and with long overdue expected additions. The course is in very good condition in spite of o goi g upgrades that do not impact pace of play at all, the greens are in very good condition considering the damage that has been done to many golf course greens the last 2 seasons with the weather.. priced excellent with HotDeals ..Staff , I dealt with Bill , was

Great golf course
Mayfair is a nice historic course with a good level of difficulty. A new clubhouse and restaurant are to be built soon. Very friendly and accommodating staff.

My mouther told me if I did not have anything to say , Don't say it. I will not play there again.
Needs montoring
I have played Mayfair several times over the last five years. The most recent rounds, including today's were tainted by the lack of supervision/management of the course. Fivesomes were all over the course, individual
golfers were skipping holes and passing other groups - no courtesy was extended, golfers were driving carts right up to the greens. I could go on but it suffices to say that I, as a Sanford resident, am very disappointed with my "home course".
Did Not Play
My partner had a medical emergency. Called the course and moved the reservation for next week 7/5/21.
Fun but crowded.
We had an 11:00 am hot deal but arrived about 20 minutes early. We were sent right off as we were a twosome which we appreciated. The course was confusing and not well marked so we had to ask questions as to direction of the holes and there was some construction around. However, we enjoyed the layout but did catch up to foursomes followed by a couple singles so it slowed. We played w one of the singles for the back nine and had fun. We would try it again another time.
Pleasantly surprised
Donald Ross design. Better condition than you would think for the price. What's not to like?
Great shape
Greens were in excellent condition. Overall improved overall shape, but again the greena were amazing.
Fun play
Just the holes are a little close so be careful of your surroundings.
