Stoneybrook West Golf Course
About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2017 #18)
Reviews
Welcome back
Played this course 40 - 50 times back in the 2006-2009 time period and always enjoyed it. Was happy to see it reopen. Not quite as good conditioning as I remember but still the same interesting track. We thoroughly enjoyed our round and would do it again.
very well laid out course.
I really appreciate the course a lot. I think it’s well maintained. Greens are just a little slow but then again that probably depends on the time of year too. Overall it is a great course to play at any skill level. My golf game just is a little below average haha.
Don’t waste your money
Round took 5hrs. Saw the cart girl on hole 4 and never again. $80 for a round of golf should come with a certain level of expectations. Conditions, pace, amenities, etc. all terrible. Greens were horribly slow. Fairway and tee boxes in very rough shape. Bunkers were concrete. I wouldn’t play here again for free
Needs help
The fairways and greens were in very decent shape. Out side of that its a goat pasture. If you don’t mind rolling the ball over then you can have a good experience. I would put this course at 35$ to 40$ for a more reasonable price. I’m a 10 handicapper play golf once or twice a week.
Have not played Stoneybrook West for 15 years.
The course condition (fairways, greens, tee boxes) were not acceptable. It was like playing on the bare desert or another planet. No grass, scrub weeds, ant hills, gopher holes, and bugs swarming. I will not be back at this course again. I request my money be refunded.
Stoneybrook West
This course is too expensive for what they offer. The greens are new and they are the only thing that saves the round. Fairways are too raw, bunkers are dirt. Any good shot is punished by the poor conditions of the golf course. The starter was very unfriendly and looked miserable doing his job. Not going back.
A fair value …
Overall it was a good day. Definitely overheated with dry weather of late here in Central FL. Greens were fine. Will definitely play this course again.
Good value
Really fun layout with a few good risk/reward holes. The greens were in really good shape, time and rolled true. Fairways were a little spotty but you could always find some good grass to hit from, very tight lies. Rough was sparse, we just haven’t had rain in a month and it’s getting warm. Good value and the greens made it a really nice morning.
Decent Course, Good Condition
We were greeted by a 30 minute delay upon arrival but the pro shop did give us a bag of balls for the range, so that helped pass the time. The cart attendant did check in with us and made great effort to keep us informed about our delayed tee time. Apparently there was a tournament ahead of us. We ultimately got started almost an hour later than our tee time. During the round, the pace of play we good with us only getting stacked up twice, but not for a very long time. The course was in decent shape although a but dry. The greens were fast but stiff and didn't hold shots easily. The course is pretty open and forgiving, but does have its challenging holes. All in all, it was a good experience. I would definitely go back to play the course again and I would recommend to friends.
Buy when you have a Hot Deal
Played Stoneybrook West for a Hot Deal price. Enjoy the layout. Some of the fairways need work. Greens roll well Rack rate is too much for this course
Part that is upsetting is the price they charge for range balls. They charge $10 for a small bucket of range balls. The bag was sold to me as a 30 ball bag. I counted mine & there were only 24
Better, Still needs time
First time playing this course since the reopen. The front side 9 is hard and fast. Lots of weeds, greens are brown and really fast because there is no grass. On the flip side, the back 9 was night and day in comparison. Everything was much healthier! The fairways and greens were great! Give it some time and this course will be back to its conditions of the past! Staff was very friendly and they now have the Brian Davis golf academy (former PGA Tour and current Champions Tour player).
Overbooked l 40mins behind
The course overbooked tee times, which led to us starting 40 minutes after our scheduled time, and then at every tee box we still had to wait close to 10 minutes before we could tee off. It took us almost 6 hours to finish 18 holes.
Overall Great Round
Start time on time, pace of play good, course conditions were good. Restaurant after round, good food.
Love the course
I played here several times, the last time was 6 months ago. It was in better shape though I don't blame it because the rainy season will bring it back to where it was before however it needs a lot of work still. Love the course, had my friends from Canada here, we played quickly, though it needs a lot of TLC still. I'll be back.
Take a chance
It's was the first time and liked the layout, staff was friendly would highly recommend
