Stoneybrook West Golf Course
About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2017 #18)
Reviews
Keeps getting better every week!
This course has come back to life and keeps getting better every week! If you’ve played it in the past it may be time to reconsider visiting this track again. Everything is starting to gel with this course! Team is still amazing as always but, the greens crew has really been putting in the work and it looks and plays great!
Quick Friday Round
Course obviously is still getting in track. Greens were in good shape, starter, pro shop, beverage cart girl and restaurant were 5 starts. Some rough patches in rough but hopefully they will grow in and help get the course off the ground.
A Bit of TLC Away From Having a Gem!
Loved the layout and greens had most potential. But they still ran slooooww. Fairways need a bit of care and regular upkeep. Rough is "ROUGH"! Not quite pulling off the Pinehurst native area vibe. Bunkers like concrete, no sand. To charge regular rate, other courses in area in waaaay better shape for less or same price. My son is a junior, and to not have a junior rate, or practice round rate when tournament scheduled, available on a course trying to make a comeback, is a great way to NOT gain business. If there isn't a hot deal for$25 wouldn't be slightest bit interested paying anything more.
The staff we Interacted with was great! Just need to clean up the rest of the course or the money spent already would be for nothing. I'm pulling for you SW, would like to play again, but not like this.
Great for the money
I feel like this course gets a lot of unnecessary hate. Is it perfect? No. But the greens were in top shape, fairways were ok (but improving) and tee boxes in great shape. For $40 and solid pace of play (under 4 hours) you can’t beat it. Staff were great and friendly, even when we got rained out after playing the front 9. Received a voucher to come back and play the back 9 no questions asked. I’ll definitely be back again!
Trying to improve.
Stony brook west layout is great. Fairways are getting better but still a ways to go. Starter put friends with us and they were awful . No courtesy, smoking weed, getting drunk and virtually no common sense. Price to play is way to high for what you get. You can play Orange county national for the same price. Hopefully they will rain in the price and what they allow to go on at the course
Foods good, range meh, course ok... fr
Idk, its close, so i love it. probably the best food ive ever had at a clubhouse. Cassandra the chef kills it. Chicken sandwich fuego, greek salad wings etc.... Range balls $13 dollars for a few.... i go for the grass. Staff friendly... No rainchecks after 3pm which is a bummer. May be out of range balls if its barely full.. yep, barely full i said. Idk if they care about the golfers. lol Looks like itll go out of business soon with the way things are ran. Clubhouse air condition broken so you can sweat it out after a 18 round of golf while you drink a cold beer... I mean cold beer in a sauna heck ya. The best wings and chx sandwich ive ever had in sauna? Heck nooo. Best of luck stoney.
Save your money
Being a local course for me I have to be honest, this place is just beat up, plain and simple. Tee boxes are rough, fairways are rough, greens are slow and dried out. Not to mention there are fire ant hills EVERYWHERE. There are almost 10-20 of them on every tee box. Not to mention the money gougers that run this course charge upwards of 4,500 for a membership. And one more thing, they host tournaments for kids on the weekend (which I have no problem with), but it takes almost 5-6 hours to finish a round the day before the tournament starts. The course doesn’t notify you at all which sucks. Save your money and go somewhere else.
