Stoneybrook West Golf Course
About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Great course on a bad day
I’ve been wanting to play this course now for a very long time. Unfortunately I may have picked a bad day. Pace of play was horrendous. There was a tournament in the morning and must have just been overbooked afterward, so it’s all very understandable why. But I started almost an hour late and it was so backed up it took almost 3 hours just to play the front 9 and I ended up not bothering finishing the back. But the course was in awesome shape and was really nice looking. I’d really like to come back on a better day where I can actually play through in a reasonable time.
Glad back open
I don't know why people say bad things about course yes the fair ways and areas around greens need work but most courses at $40 in the winter are like that the greens were in great shape and not slow at all wonderful layout guess it depends on how you play golf me if there is no grass where my ball loes I move it on grass
Good to have it back
I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the course.
The greens and fairways were in very good shape and you get a ton of roll for longer drives and faster puts.
The areas around the green and the rough could use some more attention but overall it was a fun round.
Give it a Year
Glad that someone has a plan to reopen the course. The layout has always been a decent track. Greens were in great shape with no issues there. However anything around the greens needs a ton of work. Muddy lies, no grass around them and attempts at repairs uneven until it has time to grow and settle. 12-18 months this will be a great track to play. Pace of play was pretty bad we waited on every shot. Starter had sent off a bunch of singles and doubles who’s tee times were supposed the be the same group. At one point on the second Par 5 there were 5 groups on the whole. Green, fairway, 3 groups on the tee. If you want a round just to get out and can pay sub 40$ good track to go. Otherwise pay the extra $25 to one of the clubs off of 27 to enjoy a full round
hot deals, yes
last played when there was nothing else around, as I can recall...so, a bit different from that perspective. as a "hot deal" and w/ a discount code at $41 I thought O K... greens were consistent and rolled nice ...some fairways a little beat up, but overall, for the price...good deal
Great Layout Challenging and Fun
The golfers who are complaining about conditions at this golf course clearly don’t know much about Florida golf in the winter, or about a course undergoing renovation. This is my first time playing Stoneybrook West, and I thought it was awesome. I love the layout, and I thought it was challenging and fun. I got paired up with a couple of great guys, the pace of play was just fine. The tee boxes and greens and bunkers are in awesome shape. I only noticed one or two problematic fairways, but only in Certain spots. The rough is rough. I will give you that. It’s not high. It’s just rough because there are some weeds and bare spots and I’m sure they’re not going to spray them until to seed. I would play here again. The staff were very nice.I
Stoneybrook West Redux
I played this course in January, and now just finished in March. Much improvement since then! Grass on fairways, and very fast, smooth greens. Bunkers were compacted and need sand or drainage work, but hey, best strategy is not to hit into them! Glad to see this course back in business, as not too many choices available closeby for this good a price. Course was deserted on a Tuesday; and we got around in 3.5 hours. Like to see more golfers out there to support this course on it's comeback!
Don’t waste you money to play in a goat field. They overbook the course. We were 5 groups on the same hole waiting to play
Pace of play was terrible .
Sometimes we were 5 groups on the same hole waiting to play.
The Course hasn't been re-opened that long.
I really like the layout of it course. Considering how long they opened back up, the course was in OK shape. The greens were really good. The tees were in decent shape. The fairways were OK. However, the rough and around the greens were on rough shape. I'll play again, but not until after the summer.
Worst course in Orlando
Currently on the course…77$ dollars…. This place is a DUMP. Ranger sent us off an hour late. They booked a tee time every 4 minutes. Fairways and rough are pure weeds 0% grass. Greens are a C-. Nice enough area and enough demand they should just put the money in and make it an enjoyable track. Right now it is a scam. Gave it a shot never again.
The course is not ready to be open
Was looking forward to this course opening . It was like playing a cow field fairways were horrible. Greens were ok. They should have waited to open or at least not charged a premium to play.
There are better courses in the area to play for less money. It reminded me of Metro West after they let that course go.
Nice to see it back, but a long long way to go.
I played this course about a decade ago, and seeing as to how it was just recently reopened, I thought I would give it a shot. The first two/three holes are in average shape, however, once you turn onto hole #4, the course conditions drop in quality tremendously. The fairway plays like rough, and the rough plays like borderline regular grass. The course's greens are okay, however they are incredibly fast, almost like putting on concrete. The course's restaurant is solid. It's good to see that this course is open again, as the layout is very good, but there is a LONG way to go for course conditions to return to their previous status. They should have not opened for this season and let the grass cultivate for another few months.
Hope to see an improvement!!
