Stoneybrook West Golf Course
About
Designed by Arthur Hills Stoneybrook West is a roaming blend of gutsy, penal holes, picturesque par threes over water, reachable par fives (527 and 522 yards from the tips, then 578 and 605), and several short, sporty par fours that cover all corners of the site. Dramatically rolling fairways salted with Hills' trademark grass-faced bunkers, subtle elevation changes and undulating greens were all artfully carved out of native orange groves, overlooking Black Lake. Water comes into play on 12 holes; you'll find all 18 are distinctly different, challenging and memorable.
For those visiting the Orlando area, particularly the Disney World complex, Stoneybrook West is just a matter of minutes up the road to the north. For those who frequent the Orlando golf circuit, Stoneybrook West is a course that must be seen to be measured against the other name courses.

Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2017 #18)
Reviews
Decent Course
I've played StoneyBrook West for the third time now, and I must say it keeps getting better. While I wouldn't have paid the full price initially, I'm glad that GolfNow offered a great deal that made it worthwhile. I'm hopeful that the course conditions will keep improving, and if they do, I believe it would be worth paying $60 or even more.
Pretty Good Considering
So for a course that just re-opened and was remodeled, it was pretty good. Greens were not perfect but rolled well. Fairways and rough were ok but could be better. Staff were super nice. There was a tournament ahead of me so I waited to tee off so I was not near them and I ended up playing in 3.5 hours.
Definitely going back.
They opened this thing too early I don’t think it will ever fill in properly
Stoneybrook West
This is my first visit after their reopening. Obviously there are a lot of things that need to be fixed including fairways, tee boxes and bunkers. That being said all of the aforementioned issues can and will be corrected as time passes. The greens are in very good condition and they rolled true and quick. The layout has always been a challenge but fair. I will definitely play here again.
Bad conditions all over
Decided to try this course in spite of the bad review since some of the more recent reviews were more positive and claimed the course was getting better. But I wonder what it was like before if this was improvement. The greens were actually fine but the fairways were in terrible conditions highly affecting the game. Many greens also had new grass blocks that hadn’t settled so nothing landing there would roll onto the green. This course also lacks care in off course ameneties, toilets were filthy to the point we didn’t use them. This course needs care and ambition to improve conditions all over!
The club house was real nice. The golf cart seats were luxurious. 17 of 18 fairways were good. Greens were real nice. Got us out early. Less than 4 hour pace. I'll be back.
Amazing neighborhood course!
Highly recommend! Super fast pace of play, greens are in great shape given they just opened in September! Fairways are hit or miss, but if you want fun, challenging, golf for half the price some of the Orlando area courses are charging… this is it!
Good Value for Good Track
After many years being close, we thought we'd try it after opening since the fees were very low. Overall, I'd consider the condition of the course spotty. There are bare spots on fairways and a few tee boxes but the greens were all in very good shape aside from minimal weeds on a handful of green. The layout is challenging but fair if you stay out of trouble. It would be helpful to have some yardage markers (200, 150 & 100) to start and then tag the sprinklers later. I will definitely be back soon since it's the best deal in the area.
Needs another grow seasons
Course reopened in September so it’s needs time. That being said my opinion is it’s overpriced for the conditions. Fairways are average at best, around the greens are very bare. Greens and tee boxes are fine. The course seems under staffed, we saw the beverage cart only once around the 6th hole and the restaurant was closed at the turn on a Friday mid morning. Also they added another set of tees (orange) but the scorecards or hole markers haven’t been updated.
