Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands
About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

TURKEY SHOOT
Don't go on Tuesday/Thursday afternoon, they have those "shoots". We didn't realize it. Even though they knew we weren't with the "groups", we still had to play as if we were in it - started on the 7th hole. Good pace - no one in front of us but, it got very humid. Didn't play too bad, several pars!! The staff was nice. The golf pro showed us a short cut to the 7th hole. The lady at the desk was very helpful. Nice place to play - we've played there b4 and will play there again!!
SHOT GUN AT THE MONARCH

Retirement village
As a retirement community golf course. It offers a challenge for average skilled golffers
Well groomed green make it a joy to play.
Keeps us interested
I think the best part of this course would be the contours and different elements. It fits in the landscape instead of a course just made of long drives and contrived situations
Windy Day
Will play again
Staff great , greens in good shape ,, soft
enough tricky holes to keep you smart
Monarch golf course
Always a pleasure to play this course.the staff is
Always there to work with you in every way. The course was in great shape today.
Royal Monarch
Fun track with some great holes. Bunkers need work and greens were slow. Worth the drive.
Zacapa
This is a nice course we like to play on we enjoy it very much
Well worth the hour drive
Electric carts a plus. As are the pleasant and helpful staff. Not a particularly long course for lower handicappers, with tips just over 6,000 and whites at mid 5s. But shots must still be made. Greens well cared for but still not consistent. Dry conditions made for many tight lies, but still playable. Traps need work but still playable. Overall, an enjoyable experience at a good price.
Great layout
Although this course is not long, the creative layout provides a good challenge. Some really cool holes! Greens are in good condition.
Fun course to play!
Even with a shotgun start the pace of play was real good. Good greens and fairways. Some great short holes that make you think, hit the ball straight with and little thinking and you can really score well.
All good
Very friendly course. Not very long (6000) from the back tees. for 15 to 20 handicap it's a very fair golf course. Greens rolled really well. Fairways were cut nice and all the tee boxes were good.
Liked it even more second time around
Great day at Monarch playing with my parents. Got back in about 3 hrs 50 minutes which is pretty great going for Florida golf. Course was in fantastic condition and we had a lot of fun.
Course is fairly forgiving....wide fairways meant we didn't lose any balls and weren't in any trouble anywhere. (My parents did lose a ball each in the water at the Par 3 8th, but that was it)
Super friendly staff and great practice facility. Looking forward to getting back there if we can!
Course was in better shape than most area courses. Greens were in nice shape and quick. Staff very friendly. Attendant delivered range balls to us as he did not have them readily available in the shop.
