About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

As usual:, course was in great condition., however the weather was terrible..
Shot Gun Start is a Negative
We like this course and play it each trip to FL. We were extremely disappointed today with the venue being shot gun start. Play was WAY TOO SLOW. We quit after 11 holes.
Beautiful day on a nice course
Generous landing areas, nice fairways and greens. Played in less than 4 hours. The breezy conditions made it a little challenging. Always score well here and enjoy the round.
Monarch - a great day out
We enjoyed yet another visit to this gem of a course, where we received the usual warm welcome from all the staff , and thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Course was in outstanding condition, the staff at Monarch was great as usual. The weather made it a great day for golf.
Good challenge
Course is in good shape again and it's a great challenge for anyone, play whatever tee box you want! 4,5, 7, 12, 13, 14 and 16 are the tougher holes even though a few of those may look easy. Don't get caught out!!
Greens in great shape and the whole experience makes it a great place to golf.
Good value for money in the opinion of wife and I plus they always try and pair you up with people to suit your game. We enjoyed playing with Dave and Sis this week, same again next!!
Outstanding pro shop manager, cart supervisor helpful and friendly, equipment in outstanding condition, course well kept.
A real gem of a golf course
We were delighted to return to this beautiful golf course near Leesburg and received the usual warm welcome from all the staff.
fun time playing
Played from the gold (5500 yds), if we won the hole, we moved back to the black - much more challenging. Course was in very good condition, don't know why they painted the greens, but everything played well. Lots of grass on the fairways and tee boxes.

Check in was easy and prompt and was pair up with a threesome that I played with before so that was fun
The coarse is in good shape , fairways are clean and short , and the green are in good shape too except tricky to read.
Yes I will play here again and again and yes I would recommend this coarse.

Course in great shape, Greens are true. Finished round in just over 3 hours. Highly Recommended
A Busy Course On A Saturday
We got everything we expected at Monarch - friendly and courteous service, great advise, and a challenging course in great condition.
Pace of play was an issue due to the popularity of the course which is surrounded by several senior and upscale neighborhoods. However, it didn't dampen our spirits as we completed our round in just over 4 hours.
We look forward to coming back to Monach on our next trip to the area.
The course was in good shape. Greens are still coming around from aeration.
My first time at Monarch. The staff was outstanding, going out of his way to get me on the course since I arrived early for my tee time. Fun course.
Mid day play at monarch golf coarse
The coarse is in good shape , no major burnt spots. The fairways are kinda wide and forgiving and the greens are challenging.
Greens were slow
