About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

Excellent course
Great value on a very well kept course challenging but playable.

Monarch Leesburg Florida,The course was in outstanding condition. The pace of play was 3 1/2 hours, and the personnel there are great.
Excellent course
Great staff and a well cared for course in a great community.
Overseeing!
No carts allowed on fairways. Course is too long and hilly to not have 90 degree rule. Price was too high for the course condition, including greens. We will not be returning.
Beautiful course
Course played very well and was in great condition. A few blind approach shots presented a fun challenge. Great value round.
Seniors Shoygun Start
We booked the tee time and when we arrived realised we were to form part of the shot gun start competition for the over 55yrs community of which this golf club is a part. This was not an issue for us but did we suspect result in a slow down of the overall pace of play.?
The course was in good condition and had been over seeded the day prior. The greens were good but not quick. Yes we enjoyed our round and would play it again.
Shot Makers only
Nice course! Not super long but you really can’t spray it around much. Tough pin placements and hazards abound to include plent of gators. Will be back soon.
Monarch is average
just average for the course, but no rangers were there to speed up play. There was too much slow play.
Monarch - a gem of a golf course
We really enjoyed our return visit to Monarch, where we received a great welcome from the golf staff and enjoyed coffee before play and drinks afterwards. We started our round in time and had a stress free round in great conditions. I recommend this course to everyone.

This golf course is in excellent condition, green and fairways well maintained, the staffs very friendly. The restaurant very nice and the food very good and affordable prices.
Fun course
Very enjoyable course. Staff was extremely friendy. Ate lunch afterwards there and food was good. Only complaint would be the greens were slow. Will definitely come back
Excellent Conditions/Excellent Value
Considering the recent hurricane and the high heat index the course was in excellent shape. Love playing here
