Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands
About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

Royal Monarch
This course is one of the best maintained courses that we have played for some time. The greens are superb and run true, and whilst the overall length isn't demanding some of the holes are challenging in their layout. Overall a great day out, and all the staff were super friendly. Thank you.
nice course great staff
Although rain threatened it never came. It was a nice course not to long or hard. Back nine were challenging. It was like playing golfing on a mountain each hole was going up.
Course is very interesting
Played from the black tees. Fun to play. First time playing Monarch and enjoyed the golf course. Greens were good.
Very good. Challenging.
Well maintained course. Variety of obstacles: water, bushes, sand traps, hills, line of sight, nature preserve areas. Good putting practice area with ondulations, resemble the actual greens. Very good facilities: drinking water, ball & clubs cleaning stations and rest rooms. Excellent carts.
The course is in better than average condition.
I like this course. I do play it quiet regularly. The staff is always friendly. The course had just been airated but not in too bad condition for that being done. I like it because it is always in cood condition and it is geared to seniors meaning it is not too long. You do have a choice of playing the tips at 6,000 yards
Nice course for good scoring
This is a fairly short course so you can score well if you hit it straight. The conditions were good.
I played as a single and was behind a foursome of older ladies for the entire front nine as they would not let you through. That is the risk you take playing as a single I guess.
If I play here again, I would bring my wife. It is the type of course she would enjoy.
Great Course orginial pricing to high great deal on golf now
This course is great to play, I'm happy that Golf Now has this course for a discount price because the course is a little high being in Florida and there is so many other course that is better for the price they charge. Other than the regular fee for the course I would love to play it again if I can get it on golf now for the discounted price.
great little course
this was my first time playing it ,, and i'll play it again and again.. it was in great shape..
Great course to work on your short game
Playing this course for 10 years now and this is one of the best kept secerts in Central Florida, This course allows me to work on my short game and demanding enough to go for the greens on the par 5's on your 2nd shot alot of the times, NICE PLACE.
Greens had been verified with no warning
This is a relatively nice course in the area and I thoroughly enjoyed my round. The only negative was the greens had been recently aerified with no notice from GolfNow. The super friendly lady at the desk asked if the tee time had given the alert and was upset when I said no as she claimed that they had been notified. Played with a member and enjoyed the round in the pm felt like we had the course to ourselves. His local knowledge helped me greatly. I will be back especially if I can pick up another Hot Deal for $11.00.
Nice Tract
The course in very good condition as of mid April. Good pace of play, Very fair tee boxes for the Ladies and Seniors. It is not the toughest course you will ever play but has enough features to keep it interesting. Had a great time, try it you will too!! Only strange thing was they lock their bathrooms and they never gave us the combination in the Pro shop at check in. Be sure to ask as it does not print out on a Golf Now reciept.
Beautiful area.
The golf course and the homes are very well maintained. Homes are laid out beautifully. They set back a good distance from the course. Distance is great for lady golfers and seniors. The scenery is excellent.
I already recommended the course to friends.
Great course in excellent condition.
The course is well maintained and fun to plan. Not to difficult, but definitely some challenges. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this course to everyone.
Very Nice Course
Very nice course. Fairways and greens were all in very good condition. The course played well. Ball cleaners on every tee, which I believe is the first I have seen in a long time. I appreciated that ammenity. Looking forward to playing the course again.
great
The course is great and your prices are much less then a membership. Need I say more
Impressed!
This course is one of the few that my brother and I like to play at least once a month. As someone who works in the golf maintenance profession, I was impressed with the condition of the course for this time of year. The over-seed looks to have gone well, and aside from a few weeds on one of the greens, the over-all condition of the course will not disappoint anyone looking for a fun round during the holidays. My thanks to the superintendent and his crew! The clubhouse staff were friendly and one of the rangers politely warned us of previous snake activity in a brushy area surrounding a small swamp into which I had pulled my tee shot. (I did retrieve my ball with no snake sighting)
There were however a few distractions around the course. It appeared that one homeowner was having some tree branches trimmed and the chainsaw they were using some 20 feet from the tee box was deafening to say the least. On another hole someone was watching television on their back porch. I guess they enjoy their "programs" with the volume turned all the way up. (Or they had some branch removal work done recently as well)
Of course those are things you could encounter on a Saturday afternoon most anywhere. I'll be booking another tee time there again very soon.
Nice Course
The course was in good condition, although the fairways were over-seeded and carts only alllowed in the rough. Greens were OK, a bit slow due to not having been cut. Would go and play again. The only negative was that we were given a tee-time at the same time as a tournament started. As a result we had to tee-off from the 13th tee. Would have thought that if a tournament takes place they should not have given individual tee times. The same at the club house after the round. Due to the tournament there was no food available as they were catering for the group.
NIce course, a little short for those under 55.
Course had recently been seeded, so we were told to stay in the rough with the carts. Which was no problem, until we were chastised by one of the residents for not use the side of the course where the cart path was. Being our first time on the course and since the cart path is not continueous, it was really annoying to get yelled at for an honest mistake.
