About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

Disappointed today
Are you play this course a couple times before usually in much better shape they had just aerated a week ago it was not listed on the GolfNow app Drove 45 minutes to play on aerated rains. Course was a much better shape two months ago. Actually played with the guy that I played one of my other rounds with who lives there and said the course has not been in great shape recently
Navigation was confusing
The course needs more signage. You can easily skip holes. The greens were just sanded and bumpy. The staff was very nice and the food in the restaurant was good.
Thoroughly enjoyed!
Hit off a twilight tee time playing by myself. Quickly caught up with and joined a very pleasant couple. Fairways and greens in good shape. Weather cooperated. All good!
The course was in good overall shape pace of play was very slow

A good track from the Tiger tees. Greens were ice.

I’ve played here 4-5 times and each time it is a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of other local courses.
Royal Monarch
Short, but challenging course with some blind shots and long carries. In good shape. Pace of play can vary due to the fact that is located in a 55+ community.
Hidden Central Florida Gem
Great layout & the greens are in excellent condition! The course is a bit short but at 6100 from the back tees (& super tight driving windows), it’s plenty challenging. Excellent course and great value overall, especially when you can play a weekend AM round in 4hrs as a foursome - perfect!

Love this golf course. Well maintained and layout is very challenging. Always have fun playing here
Always a Pleasure!
What a great course! We are snowbirds and will be migrating northerly very soon but already plan to make this our routine golf destination next winter. Staff and homeowners are very friendly and we find this place to be very serene considering it’s population. Word to the wise.....don’t overthink your putts! They don’t break as you’d expect!
